Here are some details of 'Enfield 200".

The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread-14bike5.jpg

Quote:
After the production of Enfield was stopped in England in 1971, its Indian counterpart (now Royal Enfield) started manufacturing Mini Bullet from 1973. It was first named Enfield 200 but later the name was changed to Mini Bullet 200 as a marketing strategy.

The mini bullet was developed as an advanced version of 173cc Villiers powered Crusader and was the first choice of racing enthusiasts. It also carried various generic British and Bullet 350 parts which itself defines the heritage of this ultimate 200cc machine.

Engine: Villers type 25 Carb, 2 stroke 197cc motor.

Man, that really brought out some memories. I remember going to a small local showroom to check out the Montana. Didn't know anything about cars then, but it was evident that it was junk. 0 - 80 kmph in 11.8 seconds is pretty cool though (if true).

The Dolphin was a very quick car. It was successfully rallied and raced during the 80s and really 90s. It probably has the first all fibreglass body making it very light. It was a fun to drive rear wheel drive car. The montana was a later version of the Dolphin.

I had purchased the Dolphin car sometime in 1986.
MGR 2794, registered in Thane RTO.
Fabulous car to drive. had a Jet pin driven carburettor, as in the Landmaster.

There was another person at Khar who used to repair the car, Mr. Vashi was his name if I am not wrong.

My friends father had a Dolphin Station Wagon in Madras in the mid-late 1980’s. With that fibre body it was safe from rust and corrosion. Absolutely fantastic little car. One could perform a 360 degree turn on a 12 foot wide road, with plenty of room to spare. And it was zippy as the blazes.
I really wish Sipani Auto had spent a little more time energy and effort on that vehicle. It was a great product.
Sadly it has completely vanished now.
Based on the Reliant Robin it was I believe a real avant garde vehicle in its time.

Re: The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread

Since Jawa is the flavour of the season, here is a rarely seen advertisement of the Yezdi badged Jawa Moped. I think these were called the Colt? But the ad simply calls it the Yezdi 60.

Nice Catch Karl.

These were called the Jawa Jets or Yezdi 60 Jet B Series.

Yezdi 60 Colt 60 Series was this in the pic below (this pic was in TBHP as well)
