Any particular reason you are selling the Creta? I remember you were one of the first owners of the current-gen Creta. It’s pretty new still.

Well, its a good question.
1) I was disappointed with the 3 star rating on the otherwise hefty looking car.
2) I did not want to stick to a diesel car for too long, lest there be uncertainties about the fuel type in the future.
3) Parents (mother especially) would feel more comfortable in the sedan these days because of some leg muscle issues. She has some difficulty in stepping inside the Creta.
4) I get better boot space than the Creta.
5) I get more "power on tap" which is always useful.
6) Having to use ADAS in some form would be interesting (for the geek in me)
7) Want to get the joy of (one more) pure turbo petrol sedan at a not-so-pricey point before we all go into the world of EVs.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Booked the Seltos GTX-Plus in Pewter Olive after agonizing over color choices.

Though I was pretty sold on the Seltos since I started my search over a month ago, I thought I'd take the time to test the options in the market. This indecisiveness(?) cost me a bit as this time last month the dealer told me he could get me the car within a week thanks to some customers deferring delivery due to it being an inauspicious period or something. Had I taken the plunge, I'd have avoided the Seltos price rise but it is what it is.

While I was clear on the car I wanted, the color and variant was less straightforward. Sorely tempted by the matte and de-chromed X-Line, but the number of comments on maintainability of a matte finish car made me strike that off with a heavy heart. After that I flip-flopped between the green, blue, and grey options a number of times. To their credit, the SA took me to their stockyard to show me the colors not once but twice. Unfortunately neither time did I get a chance to see the GTX variant of all three colors in the flesh. Ah well.

Booking Date: 17th October 2023.
Model: 2023 Kia Seltos.
Variant: GTX-Plus.
Colour: Pewter Olive.
Quoted price: 25.5L OTR, including Kia My Convenience Plus. Will save ~50k on insurance and accessories.
Dealer: JSP Kia Bellandur.
Expected Delivery: mid-November.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

I booked an i20 Nline N8 DCT to replace my 2010 i10 automatic via AckoDrive.
I've been debating if this was a wise decision since haven't heard too much about Acko on team-bhp and wasn't really sure about the actual savings.
After multiple calls and a visit to the dealer to see the car, I've got a final on road price of 13.18 lakhs which includes a 72K discount on top of the regular 50K discount from Hyundai since I'm picking up the earlier stock.

This results in a 1.48 lakhs savings compared to a new i20 Nline quote of 14.66 lakhs which see's a 15K bump in ex-showroom price as well.

Garve Hyundai is the dealer and they have 3 N line vehicles in stock. I went to the stock yard to see the vehicles. All 3 cards were received in September.

Booking Date: 20th October 2023.
Model: 2023 Hyundai i20 N Line - Old stock
Variant: N8 DCT.
Colour: Polar White
Quoted price: 13.18 lacs OTR.
Dealer : Garve Hyundai, Wakad Pune via Acko Drive.
Expected Delivery : 1st week of November

It took me 12 months with my Harrier to realise I cannot drive it anymore. The vehicle is awesome but the ergonomic flaws are too big of a deal for me now to continue with it. What’s ironic is that I couldn’t find a car that I could comfortably point towards and say that this vehicle is a perfect replacement for my Harrier within my budget. XUV 700 Came close hence booked.

An Update to this :

Variant : AX 5 D AT
Colour : Everest White
Expected Delivery : 1 Week.

AX7 was a bit over my budget and AX5 was fulfilling most of my requirements hence the variant change. Moreover one was readily available. The car should be delivered within a week.
