Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

I am from noida and mostly driving would be in Delhi NCR with a budget of 10 lakhs aprox. I am currently driving i10 1.2 kappa since last 13 years. I want to upgrade so I booked brezza lxi in September now received email that waiting is 50-52 weeks. Then I booked venue S(o) turbo IMT but even they are saying waiting of 6 months. Sonet turbo IMT has waiting of 12-16 weeks. Confused which car to buy with running of aprox 40-45 kms daily in the ncr region. Which car should I buy. We are a family of 4. Don’t want an underpowered car. Was also thinking of nissan magnite or kiger as they offer cvt in the same budget but don’t know how reliable they would be. Seeking advice guys. Thanks in anticipation.

I have booked the car I was dreaming of since my childhood.

Yes! I do believe in dream come true, and it did.

Here you go.

Model: Y61-Nissan Patrol (Super Safari)

Year: 2021

Condition: Preloved

Did PDI yesterday and found few minor issues (Shall be adressed by the dealer before taking delivery - This was the preset condition for the deal).

Odometer Reading: 13,604 Kilometers (At the time of PDI)

Under Dealer Warranty - Till August 2024.
Hi Buddy,

How is the car, getting reviews that the Patrol Super Safaris have single digit mileage, Glad if you can post a short review of the car!

Hi Vishnu.

Mileage for city run is below 4 kmpl. On highways maximum it reached 5.7 kmpl. Ocassionally I drive it in desert with the tire pressure at 12 psi. It showed 3.2 kmpl for more than 2 hours of driving in desert.

PS. Test Drove venue turbo IMT yesterday. Few observations which I wanted to inquire from the guys who are driving turbo/IMT or both. The car had almost no pick up below 2000 rpm. Had to take it to 3000 rpm to actually get it to move properly. Whereas I drive my i10 kappa engine at 1500-2000 rpm.

I have a Sonet IMT turbo. It's not the case in my car. There is instant response around 1700 rpm. I believe both venue and sonet are tuned similarly, might be some defect with that particular venue ?

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Paid for a Taigun 1.5 GT Plus DSG MY23 Wild Cherry red yesterday.
It's a replacement for our 2013 Polo 1.2 MPI CL that has been going strong with just 47K kms in the last 9 years.

I can totally relate to this Gannu, and like many on this forum, I was one of those dedicated followers of all your DIY attempts on the GT TDI

I am a bit lost with your choice now and "Again" glued to your ownership thread to understand the reason behind this decision.

Here's wishing you the best of motoring with your new acquisition.

I was extremely close to booking the car but was told to wait till 18th to book due to a taxation issue.

TS has 0% road tax on EV's but Hyundai's Click2buy portal levies a 7% road tax on delivery to Telangana.

As per deliveries, SA was clueless on timelines.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : Hyundai
Model : Venue
Variant : N8 DCT
Fuel :Petrol
Booking Date : Jan 11th 2023
Color : Thunder Blue
Expected Delivery Date : Around April last week
Dealer & City : Trident Hyundai, kudlu, Bengaluru
Freebies : Nothing. SA told he will discuss on accessories once car arrives at dealership.
Total On-Road Price: 17.16 Lakh (13.44 lakh ex showroom price)
Others : SA mentioned there will be price hike in April

I was looking for automatic car with transmission other than AMT. I dont like the feeling of "head bobbling" when gearshift happens in AMT cars. Test drove few cars in 10-17 lakh cars before finalizing venue. Brezza was close contender. Best car I test drove was Citroen C3 but dropped it only because of lack of automatic option.
