Long-range Tata Nexon EV launch on May 11

The long-range Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery offering more than 400 km.

Tata Motors is set to launch a long-range version of the Nexon EV on May 11, 2022.

The long-range Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack that could offer more than 400 km of range. The car could also come with a more powerful 6.6 kW AC charger.

Reports suggest that the long-range version might also get other upgrades like rear disc brakes, new regenerative braking modes and ESP.

Tata Motors showcased two new concept EVs last month. The Curvv concept previews the brand's second-generation EV platform. The first model based on the new architecture is expected to debut in the next 2 years.

In 2025, Tata will debut its Gen 3 EV platform. It was revealed in the form of a striking new concept called the Avinya.
