Mercedes-AMG A45 S launched at Rs. 79.50 lakh

The AMG 45 S is powered by the world's most powerful 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG A45 S hatchback in India. The car is priced at Rs. 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mercedes-AMG A45 S is said to be India's most powerful luxury hatchback. It comes with a sporty AMG body kit featuring an aggressive front bumper and a Panamericana grille at the front as well as quad exhausts and a roof spoiler at the back. The car rides on 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the car gets a flat-bottom AMG-Performance steering wheel and a dual-screen setup. It also gets Nappa leather and Dinamica microfibre upholstery with yellow stitching that adds a sporty touch.

Powering the AMG A45 S is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that puts out 416 BHP @ 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm @ 5,000-5,250 rpm, which makes it the most potent 4-pot engine in the world. It is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

There are six driving modes - Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, Individual and Race. Mercedes claims that the A45 S can do 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed with the AMG Performance Package is 270 km/h.

The A45 S comes with AMG Torque Control, which uses clutches in the rear differential to distribute the power between the left and right rear wheel. The car also gets AMG suspension and an AMG Drift Mode which enables the car to pull off slides with ease.
