Tata Safari Dark Edition teased ahead of launch

The Safari is expected to receive an all-black treatment just like the Harrier Dark.

Tata Motors has released a teaser of the upcoming Safari Dark Edition. The special edition of the SUV could be launched on January 17, 2022.

The Safari Dark Edition is likely to receive an all-black treatment just like its sibling, the Harrier Dark. The SUV could get a blacked-out front grille and black alloy wheels. It could also get black exterior trim instead of the usual chrome bits.

Inside, the Safari Dark edition could carry forward the same Benecke Kaliko leatherette upholstery with tri-arrow perforations and #Dark embroidery on the seat headrests as on the Harrier Dark model.

No mechanical changes are expected besides the cosmetic update. The Safari Dark will be offered with the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 168 BHP and 350 Nm. The standard version comes with the option of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
