Myles self-drive rentals begins doorstep delivery in Gurgaon

Just a couple of days ago we had reported that a new, Delhi-based self-drive car rental service, Revv, had begun offering doorstep delivery and pickup to its user. Now, Myles, a self-drive service (by Carzonrent), announces this facility of home delivery & pickup for its Gurgaon customers.

At a fee of Rs. 500, Customer will be able to opt for this facility while booking a Myles car. Presently, there are nearly 25 pickup locations across the city of Gurgaon. This delivery and pickup service, will eliminate the need of customers to travel to these pickup locations altogether.

In the coming months, Myles plans to integrate this facility across 21 cities. The company will add 5,000 cars & 1,000 pickup locations to its fleet in the next 12 months.

Mumbai gets 20 more MYLES pickup & drop locations

Myles, the self- drive service by Carzonrent, has announced that it is expanding the number of  pickup and drop locations in Mumbai. Twenty new locations have been added in the city with the aim of reducing the last mile connectivity and reducing car pick up time.

Customers will now be able to rent a car of their choice by picking it up from locations such as Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Juhu, Vashi, Churchgate Station, BKC, and more. The new locations will take the total count of pickup and drop locations in Mumbai to more than 30.

MYLES self-drive rental cars are available on hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis as per the customer’s requirements. Customers can choose from a range of cars including electric vehicles, cars with automatic transmissions, SUVs and luxury cars.

Before the addition of the new locations, the service was present at landmarks in Mumbai such as Mahesh Lunch Home (Juhu), Juhu Beach near Ramada Plaza Palm Grove, Hotel Sear Princess, Hotel Novotel, Powai Plaza, Hiranandani Hospital, IIT Main Gate and Marol Naka McDonald's.

All MYLES cars are centrally tracked through GPS technologies and enable the consumers to find a car through a simple mobile application or the internet or by calling 08882222222. The service has more than 1000 cars and 34 car models in India.

Myles self-drive service adds automatic cars to its fleet

Myles, the self-drive service offered by Carzonrent, has added a new range of automatic cars to its fleet. The new range includes cars like the Honda City, the Hyundai Grand i10 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class among others. These cars can be booked on hourly, daily and weekly basis depending upon the need of the customers.

According to the company, automatic cars are likely to benefit customers who drive every day for long hours. These cars can prove to be less stressful to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic as they do not require the driver to operate a clutch or shift a gear lever constantly.

Zoomcar, already offers the Ciaz AT in some cities.

Now book EasyCabs on IRCTC website

EasyCabs, the radio taxi service by Carzonrent, has tied up with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The step enables customers to book EasyCabs on the IRCTC website at the time of train reservation. Currently the service is available for Delhi and NCR. In the coming few months the service is expected to be extended to other cities.

EasyCabs claims that the association with IRCTC will make travelling convenient, hassle-free and safe for customers. It will mean that customers will not have wait in long queues to get a cab after a long train journey.

All the EasyCabs are centrally tracked through GPS.

Myles self-driving rentals now at 10 airports across India

Myles, the self-driving car rental service by Carzonrent, has now expanded its presence to 10 airports across the country. These include Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Vizag, Bhubaneshwar, Amritsar and Chandigarh.

Customers who wish to book a Myles car, can do so and drive away immediately after they land at the airport. Earlier, customers had to visit the local Myles office to complete basic formalities, which isn't the case now, thus they save over an hour of their time. These cars can also be booked via mobile, web or by calling 08882222222.

Myles offers 32 car models to choose from, ranging from electric vehicles to SUVs to luxury cars, across 20 cities in India. To strengthen its presence further, the car rental service provider will be expanding to 6 more airports and adding 300 additional cars to its fleet by the end of June 2016. It also aims to quadruple its fleet to 4,000 cars by March 2016.

Myles self-drive service comes to Coimbatore

Myles, the self-drive service offered by Carzonrent, has started operations in Coimbatore The service is available on hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. At present, Myles has a fleet of Toyota Etios cars in the city and has started receiving bookings for Coimbatore – Ooty - Coimbatore, Coimbatore - Coonor - Coimbatore, Coimbatore - Thrissur - Coimbatore.

At present, the Myles self-drive service is available in 21 cities in the country, with a fleet of 800 cars. All its cars are centrall tracked through GPS technologies. The company claims that a customer can find a car within walking distance of his location through a mobile application.

Carzonrent is aiming to expand the Myles network to 50 cities by the end of 2015. In the next three years, it is also looking at increasing the Myles fleet to 40,000.

Carzonrent buys out RidingO car-pooling service

Delhi-based cab aggregator Carzonrent has added car-pooling to its list of offered services by acquiring the Bangalore-based start-up, RidingO.

RidingO was started in 2013. It connects car owners with people looking for rides within the city. Using the internet or a mobile phone, a car owner can share empty seats in his car while commuting to and from a venue. It is an on-demand service where the car owner need not commit to ride sharing on a daily basis. The company claims to have a customer base of 8,500 users in Bangalore and clocks about 400 trips a day.

The amount for the buyout is undisclosed. Carzonrent is backed by firms like WestBridge Capital and BTS Advisors. It offers radio cabs under the brand name Easy cabs and self-drive rentals under the brand name Myles. It believes that the ride-sharing business will contribute over 75% of its business.

Carzonrent: Nano Twist @ Rs. 99 / hour

CarzOnRent Pvt. Ltd. has tied up with Tata Motors to launch Myles City-Drive under the Myles self-drive service. The company is offering 200 units of the Tata Nano Twist at 43 locations across the Delhi-NCR region.

The company claims that the Tata Nano with its electric power assisted steering system will be very easy to manoeuvre in the city. The cars can be rented on hourly, daily or monthly basis. Rates have been pegged at Rs 99 for an hour, Rs. 399 for a full day and Rs. 6,999 for a month.

Myles has been designed on the lines of the US and European markets and anyone with a credit card, driving licence and an address proof, can avail of this service.

Myles is currently available across 16 cities. Customers can choose from a wide range of cars from the Mahindra e20, Swift, Innova, XUV500 to Mercedes-Benz. The company has a current fleet size of 600 cars and is planning to expand its fleet to 5000 cars by 2016.

Carzonrent adds Mercedes C, E-Class to its self-drive fleet

Carzonrent (India) Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its fleet of cars under its self-drive brand, Myles, with the addition of Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class cars. Initially, these cars will be offered only in the cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The cars can be rented on a daily or hourly basis. The daily rates for hiring the C-Class and E-Class are Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 9,500 respectively, while the hourly rates have been pegged at Rs. 900 and Rs. 1,200 (25 km, fuel included) respectively. Additionally, there is a security deposit of Rs. 70,000 (pre-authorisation from Master card or Visa) which will be refunded upon returning the car.

Carzonrent plans to add more luxury cars to its self-drive fleet in the coming months, such as the SLK and AMG versions. The company intends to expand its total fleet to more than 1,000 cars over the next one year and 5,000 cars in the next three years.
