Rumour: 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 discontinued

The current version of the Pulsar 180 was introduced in February 2021.

According to a media report, Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar 180. It is said that production ended a few months ago and that dealers have stopped receiving fresh stock.

The current version of the Pulsar 180 was introduced in February 2021. It was offered with new colours and different graphics.

The Pulsar 180 was powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder engine that produced 16.76 BHP and 14.52 Nm. The engine was mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike came with telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear and had disc brakes at both ends.

As per the report, Bajaj decided to discontinue the model due to lack of demand and to make way for newer models.

Bajaj Pulsar Dagger Edge Edition launched at Rs. 1.02 lakh

The Dagger Edge Edition comprises four new colour options - Pearl White, Sapphire Blue, Volcanic Red and Sparkle Black

Bajaj has launched Dagger Edge Editions of the Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F.

The Dagger Edge Edition comprises four new colour options - Pearl White, Sapphire Blue, Volcanic Red and Sparkle Black. All three models are mechanically identical to their standard counterparts.

The Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 13.8 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 13.25 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is available in Pearl White and Sapphire Blue.

The Pulsar 180 uses a 178.6cc, single-cylinder engine that puts out 16.76 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.52 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This bike comes in Pearl White, Volcanic Red and Sparkle Black colours

The Pulsar 220F comes with a 220cc, single-cylinder motor that pumps out 20.11 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 18.55 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. The 220F is also equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. The 220F gets all four aforementioned colours.

2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 launched at Rs. 1.08 lakhs

The motorcycle is powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC 2-valve, air-cooled, BS6-compliant DTS-i Fi engine. It produces 16.78 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.52 Nm @ 6500 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

Bajaj has launched the 2021 Pulsar 180 motorcycle in India at a price of Rs. 1,07,904/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The motorcycle is powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC 2-valve, air-cooled, BS6-compliant DTS-i Fi engine. It produces 16.78 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.52 Nm @ 6500 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Stopping power comes from a 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear.

The Pulsar 180 measures 2,035 mm in length, 765 mm in width and 1,115 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,345 mm, ground clearance of 165 mm and a saddle height of 800 mm. It has a kerb weight of 151 kg. The bike comes with twin pilot lamps with auto headlamp on (AHO) function, split seats, black alloy wheels and an 'infinity' LED tail lamp.

The bike features a telescopic anti friction bush in the front suspension and a 5-way adjustable nitrox shock absorber at the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 90/90 and 120/80 section tyres at the front and rear respectively.

The 2021 Pulsar 180 will be available across all Bajaj Auto authorised dealerships in India.

Rumour: Bajaj Pulsar 180 discontinued

According to a media report, Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar 180. The semi-faired Pulsar 180F which was launched earlier this year is likely to take the place of the standard Pulsar 180.

The Pulsar 180 features the classic Pulsar looks with its familiar fuel tank design, headlamp housing and a narrow tail section. It is powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 16.76 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. 

The Pulsar 180 comes with telescopic suspension at the front and has twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by 260 mm and 230 mm discs at the front and rear respectively. 

The Pulsar 180F uses the same engine and comes with a similar suspension and brake setup. It is likely to get ABS in the near future.

Bajaj Pulsar Black Pack edition launched to mark 1 Cr. Sales

The Bajaj Pulsar is sold in more than 25 countries worldwide. The model has achieved a global sales milestone of 1 crore units and to mark this occasion, Bajaj has launched special edition versions of its Pulsar range. 

The Black Pack edition is available on the Pulsar 150, 180 and 220F. The Pulsar Black Pack editions are finished in a black paint with matte grey highlights. New decals have also been added. Besides this, the bikes ride on white alloy wheels and get satin chrome exhaust covers.

The Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 13.8 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The mid-range Pulsar 180 has a 178.6cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 16.8 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of peak torque @ 6,500 rpm. The Pulsar 220F is offered with a 220cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 20.6 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 18.55 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. All three come equipped with 5-speed gearboxes.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar range (220f, 180, 150 & 135 LS) launched

Bajaj has launched the updated 2017 Pulsar range, including the 220f, 180, 150 and 135 LS. Save for the Pulsar 150, all other updated Pulsars are now BSIV compliant. The automaker has named the 2017 collection of Pulsars as 'Laser Edged'.

All models under the new collection now come with a dual tone colour of blue & white. Bajaj claims that the new Pulsars get better seat cushioning and a revised exhaust unit, while the instrument cluster too has been tweaked slightly, as it now features blue backlit illumination instead of amber.

The Pulsar 135 LS is powered by a BSIV compliant, 135cc single-cylinder engine that develops 13.3 BHP and 11.4 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 150 meanwhile continues to be equipped with the BSIII engine, and thus only get the cosmetic tweaks as part of the 2017 update.

The Pulsar 180 draws power from a 180cc BSIV compliant single-cylinder engine that produces 17 BHP and 14.22 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 220 f is equipped with a BSIV complaint, 220cc engine, rated at 20.7 BHP and 19 Nm. All models come with a 5-speed gearbox.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F and 180 spotted; launch by year end

Bajaj will be updating the Pulsar line-up by this year's end. Ahead of their official launch, the 2017 Pulsar 220F and the Pulsar 180 have been spotted without any camouflage.

Both the bikes feature a new colour scheme with contrasting decals. The 2017 Pulsar 220F continues to have the semi-faired structure. The exhaust gets a matte black treatment, while the instrument cluster too has been revised and now features blue back-lighting. The auto-choke has been replaced with a manual unit.

The Pulsar 180 has been spotted in a Youtube video. It gets a 230 mm rear disc brake, which replaces the drum unit found in the current model. The Pulsar 180 also features the blue back-lit instrument cluster.

Both the bikes will continue to be powered by the same engine that powers the current models, though they will now be compliant with BS-IV emission norms. Power and torque outputs of both bikes are also likely to get a boost.

Bajaj Pulsar 180 available with 3 new two-tone colour options

Bajaj Auto has launched three new dual-tone colour options for the Pulsar 180. The new colours are Sapphire Blue, Pearl Metallic White and Cocktail Wine Red.

Mechanically, there are no changes to the Pulsar 180. It continues with the same 178.6 cc, single -cylinder, DTS-I engine that develops 17.02 PS @ 8500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque @ 6500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox. A single 260 mm disc and a 130 mm drum on the front and rear wheels respectively, provide stopping power for the bike. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and twin nitrox shock absorbers at the rear.

With the colour updates, the company is attempting to push up the sales of the Pulsar 180 before a facelifted Pulsar, which is based on the 200 NS, makes its appearance. The facelift will feature a monoshock rear suspension, new headlamp and clip-on handlebars, respectively. An increase in power and torque is also expected.
