Re: Team BHP - My Mini Google

Ha Ha, hey I mentioned this recently to a friend, that I use Tbhp search like I use Google!! The friend was facing troubles with IFB customer service, and I asked him to search Tbhp for people with similar experiences! I just now did the search and did find relevant search results!

http://www.team-bhp.com/web/search.p...stomer+service

The Shifting Gears section lists threads on almost every topic under the sun, and best part is that each post is in proper english and relevant, such is the quality of our forum!

Stuff bought after going through reviews:

Car Made decision by great reviews here
Jopasu duster Set

None bought directly from the classifieds yet. But the reviews are great, be it of car or even misc reviews of mobiles/cams.

re: The value of Team-BHP

In addition to generic knowledge and advice, these are a few tangible ways I've benefited:

1. The research i did on the forums helped me deal with Ford when they were trying to dupe me on some maintenance issues on my Ikon 1.6

2. Helped in my decision to buy the Swift diesel.

3. Help me prevent turbo woes that afflicted some Swift-D owners by understanding that you need to let the car idle for 60 seconds every time you do a cold start.

4. Helped me narrow decide what tyres and rims to choose for the Swift-D.

5. Helped me pick the Cruze LTZ as the replacement for the Swift-D.

6. Helped me negotiate like a BOSS with the dealers and the DSAs to get the best possible deal on the Cruze.

7. Helped me understand how to transfer the insurance and avail of the NCB on the Cruze.

8. Helped me decode the VIN of the Cruze to make sure I wasn't getting an old car and scare the pants of the dealer when I said I was going to do a PDI before delivery.

9. Helped me identify what tyres and rims I'm going to get for the Cruze.

To be honest, I don't know what I would to without TBHP. Cheers to all of you who share knowledge for no ulterior motive and help your fellow petrolheads get the best out of their cars.

re: The value of Team-BHP

Never thought Team BHP could be active/roaming detective service. Here's the story without giving specifics .

Wife goes out one day before husbands birthday to plan a mega party without hinting him, goes all over Bangalore and the ride gets spotted and reported to husband.

Husband asks wife, and wife's response.

Kyya yaar, Tumhare is Team BHP ke karan i cant even plan something hiding from you , and threatens to peel off all the stickers.

Only after maan jao attempt from husband she relents, True story.

re: The value of Team-BHP

Though I was dormant in the first three years after my membership, I really loved each and every moment spent while surfing it.

For me,
The best way to relax,
The best way to get a high,
The best way to boast about my Automotive knowledge in peer group and even with my Bosses,
The best way to impress my wife with the amount of info on hanging out / eating out places.
The best way to take care of my vehicle and get the max F.E.

is nothing but from TEAM BHP.

1. I bought Sunfilms for my M800.
2. Mats for the same.
3. Good deal on Insurance for my Manza.
4. PDI Checklist for my Manza.
5. Freebies bargaining.
6. My shaldan Air refreshner.
7. Reference of Good petrol pumps and Pune and Hyd.

Able to recollect only these for now. Will update when I recall.

Best thing about this forum is the knowledge, information that is available and the response of fellow team members who are ready to help.

Reviews of differnet products which help me to choose if it will fit my needs or not.

Forum has also helped me in getting some stuff for my car Alloys,Tyres.. hope this list increases.

Good to be here on this forum

This one has to be the most unique value.

What are the odds that the spotter was the HAWK?

How has TEAM-BHP touched your life ? What have you bought after consulting TEAM-BHP?

***If this is a repeat thread, please eliminate it.***

In my opinion, the core competency of Team-BHP is not in getting like-minded people together, but in being a utilitarian resource that informs and guides people. It is a resource with unmeasurable value to people who are looking for information, opinion and/or assertion for their decision to buy automobiles and related things.

I am sure a lot of car and bike owners have made (or discarded) buying decisions based on the discussion, opinions and research made available by the patrons of this web site.

What have you bought based on suggestions/research/discussions/information posted on Team-BHP ? Has Team-BHP been a game changer in any of your purchase decisions ?
