Mobius is as tiny as the keychain series cams, and image quality is top notch. You can check samples from my review, including night samples.

Is the night video as good as DOD LS430W? I hear mount has to be bought separately.

I got the 80$ kit with wide angle B lens.
This came with a mount and an extra long cable to wire in around the windshield.

My review video

Mobius is a very capable camera with terrific community support, and the latest firmwares are really really good.

How do I order it from India? Which web store will sell a genuine one?

This is the official reseller
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mobius-Actio...item259ec59e64

Price has gone up slightly
78$ for the cam + you need to add car mount + long cable. Buy belkin charger for 150-200rs in India only.
Total cost will be around 86$

If you can get it from USA
Then the car kit is here with everything
http://www.buymobius.com/collections...ash-camera-kit

Total = 95$. Comes in a tiny box!

If you do buy the mobius, do look at this thread.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1904559

It has everything from android apps and what not.

NOTE, you need LENS -C (Formerly B lens) for car, as the LENS A is narrow lens for RC toys and airplanes

SJ 4000 Action Camera Quick Review

Thanks to Tanveer's detailed review of the SJ series of action/Dash camera, I decided to take the plunge and order one from Aliexpress sometime in December 2014. Within 20 days, it was delivered.

SJ 4000 Wifi camera comes with plenty of mount options right out of the box. It also gives you an option to view/control the camera through your mobile/tablet. That is the reason why it sports the epithet 'Wifi'. It is convenient for the navigator to control the camera through his/her mobile instead of leaning towards the dashboard to control the awkward controls directly.

It takes 32 GB Class 10 micro SD card which, depending upon the condition can record a few hours of video. My package contained an extra battery. The box contains a water proof box with buttons that can reach the camera.

I used the camera in a few road trips and the build quality and image quality is very good. I dropped the device twice inside the car and it survived the drops.

The video clips shot in 1080 P full HD are crisp and show images well adjusted even when you go in a tree canopied avenue with constant shift in illumination. It managed to capture good quality night shots lit only by the car headlights.

I have the exact same model. Mine is silver though. I use it as dashcam and also use it as an action cam for weekend cycling trips. Have to say, the video quality as well as photo quality is quite good. Performance (especially colors) under low-light conditions is not very impressive, but acceptable. Bought it from ebay India for around 10K INR in Nov'14. Quite happy with it.

PS: Please recheck the pic in which you have marked the battery and SD card. In my camera, the SD card slot is on the left side wall of the camera and not the bottom.

You need better camera placement, right now 40% of the frame is covered by the wipers.

Yes. SD card slot is on the left side.

Yes. Fitting it behind the IRVM also leaves part of the frame covered by the front of the car. Only option is to increase the height of the mount. I was worried that it will amplify the vibration.

Look at my camera placement, no part of the car shows in the video. What is the wide angle coverage of SJ4000, may be it is too much.

...
Its pretty wide, but with careful positioning, one can avoid windshield.

Sharing a pic of how it is mounted in my car and a sample screengrab:

Hope this gives some idea.

Edit: Agree with you. Prowler has set it too low.

Re: The Dashcam / Car Video Recorder (DVR) Thread

I checked and found it to be 170 degree, that is probably too much for most purposes. Also I prefer the camera to be very discreetly placed, don't want people to know I have a camera upfront.

Check my install on this huge image, which can't be attached here. Click on the IRVM to see the stealthy camera.

It disappears over the roof panels and then appears next to the glove box to connect to the power outlet. Should be possible in most cars.

I suppose you are referring to the IRVM? I do see something mounted on the IRVM. I have a similar arragnement on my car, but that is for a reversing camera's display unit.
