Well i knew upgrade was coming. I saw the signature around a week ago

"TRU Tech STEEL S44, XXXX | Image Dynamics XS65, XXXXX"

How much did ya pay for S44 hydra ?

So S52 is priced lower than S44. Now that is great, I hope the price is Half as channels are half lol.

Jokes apart. Why don't you consider another IDQ12 V2D2. 500W RMS @2ohms will make them pounce good enough.

Well, who knows what happy things the future has in store for me? I wanted things to be a bit future-proof

@abhibh, you sure are observant!

I don't know this for a fact! I was just thinking out loud and putting two and two together! Lesser powered 2-ch amp in the same family should normally be a bit lower priced.

I don't plan on a 2-sub setup. But maybe a certain d4v3 sub in the future...

i wanted to say that S25 have almost the same specs as S500 and can be used as a mono amp,rated as 550x1 @ 1ohm.but this is a problem you have a 2 ohm dvc

I understood that, karan. It does 550w x 1 at 2ohms and as you pointed out my sub is d2v2 (can do 4ohms and 1 ohms). I don't have plans to upgrade the sub right now, so the amp will have to do decent power at 4ohms itself. And in any case, the S500 is available in Kochi right now and I don't think the S25 is available in India right now.

Hey Hydra

Congrats on the new amp

Hope you are planning for an active front stage....I think it would really be worth taking advantage of the tuning flexibility afforded thus.

He hasn't yet gone active.

According to the latest reports, the sub now really stands up to the music.
