Tru is made in USA and sounds like it too... I would elaborate on the sound etc but it would all be bordering on marketing. Feel free to PM or call me if you really want answers.

Thank you very much, thouqueer!

@noidaboy, yes. Overall, the bass is faster and better controlled than before.

Good stuff - congratulations! Have heard good things about the TRU so am sure you're a step closer to audio nirvana...

You might consider moving upto an IDQ v3 when you add a new mono

I think zucchero was of the opinion that the v2 outdoes the v3 in "SQ".

Oh it is the ID v3 he is referring to. Sorry my BAD. But IDq v2 is still 80% SQ.

You guys are hell-bent on breaking a guy's resolve, aren't you? If, and if I add an S500 mono, I'd be going for 2 x IDQ10s. But I can't see that happening anytime in the near future. Only after a HU upgrade, anyway, heh heh.

To be frank, though I haven't listened to the IDQ v3 yet, I also somehow feel the IDQ v2 is likely to be better for a pure SQ setup. Just a gut feeling (supported in no small measure by the fact that I run a v2, and not v3, heh, heh). Right now, I think IDQ v2 is more bang for the buck, anyway.

Actually he was comparing the IDQ v2 & the ID v3 here. Not IDQ v2 vs. v3. I get mixed up once in a while when I read stuff about the IDQ & the ID sub too.

oh ok.

So guys!

He gets the HU first, then S500 and one more IDQ10.

I bet for HU upgrade first.
Then S500
Then the IDQ10

HU will be Eclipse, bet?

Looks like you are spending lot of time with Lucky Singh.

I don't recall reading your quoted post in the original context, but I have a lot of trouble trying to understand what the meaning of these things like "80% SQ" etc means. I wish I too could put such numbers on things. Anyone care to explain?

VFM yes, but once you hear the iDQv3, you have as much probability of going back to the v2 as you do of going back to your earlier amps.

@JK, your order is perfect. And yes, when the HU upgrade happens, an Eclipse 7200 mkII will be considered very seriously. Too bad all this is going to be just a dream for quite a while to come :(

That's good to know. Will try v3 out when I plan for the 2x 10s.

IDQ12 d2v2: 14.6K (or thereabouts -- I bought the sub a bit more than a year back, so I'm not fully sure of the exact price)
ID XS65: 34K
