No offence bro.

oh btw hydra.. congrats on the TRU...
So no offence bro just asking a individual for his preferences, I do not see any brand flaming or something like that. Also if a brand is so good then it should not worry about such stuff.

youve started again LBM.. I f you want to ask anyone anything just PM the person.. This is the wrong section of the forum IMO.
And no one is worried about any brand except you it seems. We are all here to enjoy our audio.

Congrats Hydra on the setup. I am sure it should be sounding extremely good!! The equipment gone in is like my Dream setup(I hope it comes true soon,Fingers crossed).

@Hellspawn: Should i add ":Oops, I did it Again,and Again,and Again,and Again"???

Now I know you're wondering what 500w from the S500 sounds like... You'll find out soon enough wont you...
Yep, you did! To tell the truth, I was a bit skeptical about it. But hearing is indeed believing! I wish I'd taken your word for it that day. I'd have slept better the last few days, happy in that knowledge.

S500? In a few weak moments yesterday, as the install was going on, I did glance sideways at the S500 lying there, and I even went over and stroked it. Once the setup was done, I had no doubts about needing an S500. But yes, I am thinking what 500wRMS from the S500 sounds like, if 200wRMS from the S44 sounds like this. Ooooooooopsss what am I saying??? ****shuts ears tightly with hands and runs off screaming****

If I am getting serious ICE for any new car I would take the road you have taken. It makes sense to go for a good four channel for front sound stage instead of amp+mono combination. I think cost wise also, it would be cheaper.
Thanks, buddy! Well, frankly, since I haven't tried this amp with and without tuning at HU level I can't say. The HU has everything off from the time the TRU went in. TA had been off from when the XS comps were installed, and no, I did not miss it. But then again, I hadn't AB'd them with and without processing.

Yes, going this way makes sense. I haven't crunched the numbers yet, but I think the current installed cost isjust about 10-15Kmore than the installed cost of my earlier setup. But the current setup is light-years ahead in SQ. Simplicity does sound better. I have lesser equipment in the car to worry about, and a lesser load on my car's electricals.

@sk456, Thank you!

@l_b_m, I'd be grateful if we all could keep brand X vs. brand Y discussions in the appropriate threads.

Congrats on the upgrade. Would really love to audition it someday; your posts are so detailed and informative, can only imagine what your setup sounds like. Your passion for audio is so evident, it feels nice to have good equipment going into a fellow buff's car.
Your car is certainly on my "must listen" list along with flying bong, sk456, bhagwan and a few others.

It looks sweet and simple.

Lot of wiring hassles would be avoided with such a simple setup. Lesser the amps, better in my opinion.

It would also help you to stay away from thieves eye as the number of equipments are less and not easily visible through the hatch door mirror. I do not think the thieves would know the value of your amp. Lets hope that they go with the peak wattage shown on the common Ads.

Maybe those two horns you have covered, and that pointed tail of yours that you're hiding in your pants explains it, you devil, you!

@patiencewins, thank you! Yep, simple is definitely better!

Thanks, buddy! Sorry I couldn't meet you the day you left. We'll definitely have our usual extended listening session once you are back here!

Yep! This is 100% on the up and up. She is very supportive of this hobby! (Thank God for that!) Well, it also helped that the boot is now more usable than it was before, heh heh.
