it depends how well they are made. that is something one you can judge as we cant see them here. good, stiff, fiberglass panels would cost that much maybe more.

No Aseem. Pritam was telling me that the 9830 was for 15k, but with their guarentee and not with Alpine's warranty or bill... He got a deal from Alpine for the 9833z and hence the cheaper price on it for 19k. [remember, here in chennai, its 28,990/-].... and so i got it. He was offering the 9853 for 20k, 9851 for 17k, but without Alpine warranty or bill....

Also got the belden cables on sam's reco...

DIY spirit you see
Look amigo
it's not that critical. Find a decently thick wire that keeps the supply on even when the keys out and Navin's uncle Bob is your uncle also.

God bless the DIY spirit.

Navin I have 2 belden wires only. I just keep them for the discerning few. Twisted speaker cables.

16AWG for 70 bucks a mtr and 12 AWG for 200 bucks. These are customer prices including VAT

The 9855 is really the technical equivalent of the 9833/9830 as it has 4V pre out. dont know why alpine killed the 4V pre out in lesser models. even the 9830 has 4 v out.

BTW the 9855 retails for $400-450 in the US.

The 9830 sells for about $250 there is Rs. 12.5K in Bangalore. so local prices are fair.
Navin, i'm not sure if you'd like to buy electronic stuff without bill & warranty, but JBL B'lore [Pritam] can give you the 9855 for 20k, sans B&W....
