I downloaded and sideloaded the App on my Sony Bravia Android TV - works like a charm and have not seen any injected Ads at all. Also the icon for the App also automatically appeared in the Main menu despite this being a sideloaded app

Despite having a broadband speed of 300 mbps the Full HD, 2K or 4K resolutions do not work. However selecting the 1080P works - strange given that FHD and 1080 are the same. Have those higher resolutions claimed actually worked for anyone?

Since you are a long term user of this app, any guidance on how stable is it? I am contemplating cutting the cord (doing away with Cable TV Connection) as this seems to have most of the channels I need.

Works like a charm, plays all channels via JioTV. It has all webseries also. All movies, latest old.
I am yet to install this App. Any feedback form your long term usage? And if you have explored any other similar apps - please share/update.

1. Pls watch Fox Life HD and TLC HD World on your D2H provider and then on this app. There is a difference in clarity, especially colors. If you are ok with that, there is no reason why one shouldn't discontinue D2H services. I would say ~20% difference.

2. It is super stable, the same app also works on your Android phone, fyi.

3. Under Live TV section, go to Jolly TV - it takes your Jio credentials once to display all LIVE channels. All channels work perfectly fine.

4. I recharged my D2H after 5 months because I wanted the flexibility of a cable remote to switch between channels, especially for COVID-19 updates.

5. In the app, you can mark any channel as Favourite, and then go under Favourites to see only those channels there.

All in all, a highly recommended app that is frequently updated and has a good customer support, sans any ads, works on your TV as well as Android phone.

Agree - as for now I believe I can live with the difference.

I had explored the Jolly TV and the Favorites already and yes the Favorites is a good feature - if not - we would be lost in the sea of options provided all over the place.

Here are some camera grabs of the Oreo TV for the benefit of others planning to explore in this direction:

Hey guys, I have a Toshiba LED TV 32" bought in late 2012. During this lockdown period in Mumbai, the screen went blank (pitch black) and there was sound. So I restarted the TV and there is no display (Blank black screen) but the Power LED goes from RED to Green. I cannot do a volume functionality test as I do not have satellite connection, I use firestick. Called up Toshiba and they said they wrapped up B2C operations in 2018, he advised me to get it fixed locally. Any suggestions of a good technician around Ghatkopar Mumbai who can diagnose and fix it for me ? I do not want to buy a new TV for sure.

I have been using Oreo since last couple of months. Earlier, Jio credentials were not required for Jolly TV.

Now, I forgot my password. I can login to MyJio App (through SIM/OTP) and also on the website through Mobile No.+OTP. There is no option of password on the app.

On the web, there is an option to change password if you know the previous password. No option if you forgot your password. And this Oreo app Jolly TV needs mobile number AND password. Any solution?

It worked. Thanks.

Hope it is safe to give password to such websites. I did not use my primary number though.

Shouldn't be an issue as long as the profile works only for Jio TV.

Now that you are logged in to Oreo TV, you can reset your password using the Jio TV app. This will ensure any further logins will need this new password.

Hi guys . I will be in the market for a LED tv ( 55 inch or higher ) Post the lockdown . Budget is in the range of 40k but can go higher if something substantially better in the nearby range .
Was initially inclined towards Mi TV however on watching some YouTube reviews , Vu premium tv ( new model ) is substantially better .
Anyone has a long term experience with Vu . Will they last .
What about their After sales support .
Can their warranty be extended .

What do you guys suggest based on your experience

Hello All,
Similar query, post lockdown, will be looking for a budget 55inch TV to replace my bedroom TV which conked off a few days back.

I have shortlisted this : TCL 55 P8E. 3 years warranty if bought from an offline store.

Primary use will be Streaming, Movies, YouTube only. Wont be used for gaming and not connected to satellite/cable TV.

Any other models i should consider? Priorities are durability(3+ years), budget pricing and decent picture quality.

The Jio TV (Jolly TV) part of Oreo TV stopped working. I went to Manage Apps and cleared the Data and Cache. I was asked to login again and it started to work fine again. But all the Favorites are gone now.

Is there a way somehow to Relogin to Jio without having to Clear the Data and Cache so the favorites are retained ?

Was in similar situation last week and same fix worked.

As of now, I don't see any alternate method than to re-login using Jio.

But wasn't this a temporary glitch? I mean, I haven't had to login again since last week. May be they will release a fix soon should the issue persist.

I recall using Thop TV an year or so ago. Can't remember why I settled for Oreo.

There was one more which displayed adult ads in between content or while switching channels; I hope that's not Thop TV.

Thanks for the recommendation, will try it out again.
