You can buy MMI software from Apple stores and it comes with maps.

Also, you can use the current Airtel connection and same sim card in your iPhone 4. To do that you have to cut the sim in the shape of micro-sim and start using it.

I have iTunes installed on my office laptop for past few years.

Now I am getting a new laptop, how do I transfer the files from this itunes to the other itunes on the new laptop ?

Web search throws up - to install application for this.

Doesnt iTunes has such a kind of feature ?

iTunes is the only way to upgrade or downgrade OS on i devices. No point thinking on any other option. As your is unlock version no need to worry about baseband. Just backup your data that's it.

ITunes offers a built-in back up tool that you can find in the File menu. Just go File - > Library - > Backup to Disc.

Or

If you find an external hard drive that you like, you can just connect it to your computer, find your iTunes library (On Windows, it’s the “My Music” folder. On a Mac, it’s just called “Music.”), and copy it to the hard drive to make a backup.

This is a query from a friend -

1. Compared to the Blackberry OS6, is the iPhone4 capable as a business phone (primarily work emails, opening / composing attachments in MS Word, excel, etc)

2. He and his girlfriend live in different cities. Since both plan to get business phones, they are dabbling between the iphone and Blackberry. Blackberry gives them BBM and they wanted to know if iphone has any such features?

Can anyone confirm if I can downgrade my 3G iPhone to iOS 3.1.3 from 4.1.2 on BB 6.15.00, without any issues at all? I know the procedure, I am just skeptical that the downgrade might cause issues. I am not entirely happy with 4.2.1 when compared to 3.1.3.

I just did it on my Iphone 3G(i:e 4.2.1 to IOS3 with baseband 6.15).
Its working without any issues.
though i am still looking for the GPS fix for 6.15 BB.

Guys,
My laptop has suddenly stopped detecting my iPhone 3GS. When I connect the phone to the computer with the cable the phone does not charge, I cannot see the phone as an external memory device in My Computer and iTunes also does not detect the phone.

- The cable does not seem to be a problem because when I connect the same cable to the wall charger it works. Also the same cable when connected to an iPod touch works fine
- The USB port of my laptop does not seem to be a problem (In fact I tried all the ports). Tata Photon speed stick works fine, external hard drive works fine when connected to the ports
- Tried re-starting the phone, laptop : no change

What could be the problem here ? Anyone faced this problem before ?
