Hello Apple buddies ! I'm with IP6 currently at IOS 10.1.1. Have an update from today morning for 10.2😢 . I'm in double mind to update ! I know I have to do it any way some time around . More update I get with IP6 , more I worried for the reason you all know 😭. Any advice most welcome !

well, my wife updated her iPhone 6 to 10.2 and saw battery drain dramatically. Usage pattern hasn't changed. Therefore update is the culprit.

any others face this issue? what is the fix?

I had the battery drain on my 7 plus with 10.2, there is no fix other than waiting for a new update. I downgraded back to 10.1.1 but it's not possible anymore so you'll have to wait a while for the update to hit.

I faced the same issue where the battery life went down by almost 1hr of usage time.

All I did was let the battery drain completely and then charged it to 100%. The battery life is back to normal now

Did try so but didn't work, in my case there was a battery drain of more than 60% than what it was previously on 10.1.1, guess 10.2 isn't very optimized for the 7 plus.

Thanks 14000rpm! Oh it's bad what had happened to the IP6 😥 I better wait till I get some more feedback in turn more confidence!
By the way , how long I can delay the update ? 100 mb is what the download is ! and it just occupies memory . is there any time after which I cannot update ?

I got the 10.2 update on my 6; no problem whatsoever.

To update or not is your prerogative; there's no compulsion. You can even wait it out until iOS 11.

It is common to have battery drain whenever an update includes reindex. Spotlight service needs to query index-able parts of each content + app.

This results in high CPU usage + WiFi (or LTE/3G) usage. All these add to drain.

With lots of apps + photos + songs, this can take 2 - 3 days in worst case.

Battery usage should drop to normal after that.

Anyone facing assistive touch issue with the iphone 7 plus? It gets stuck at any corner and wont budge but then again randomly starts working! For a addict assistive touch user like me this really gets on my nerves specially after spending close to a lakh on a phone, Its totally unacceptable!

I am facing this issue after I updated my iPhone 6S to iOS 10.2. Talked to Apple support about it, they didn't have a clue, and suggested a restore. I haven't done that yet. It is a common issue and I expect it to be resolved in the next release.

After many deliberations , updated my IP6 to 10.2, so far good ! No unwanted battery drain nor the assistive touch issue . Anyways I'm planning to drain the battery until nul and recharge again . I will keep you all updated.

Assistive touch issue is intermittent; it occurs once or twice in 2-3 days; let us know how you go with it.

Yes, started facing this issue today on my 6. Happened 3-4 times within a span of 6 hours.
Strangely, I updated to iOS 10.2 few days ago but didn't face the issue immediately.

Need some help, I'm unable to access emails thru the default mail set up in my iPhone 7. However the mails are downloaded when I connect to wifi. Other internet supported apps like Gmail work fine. I have no such issues in my other iPhone 6. I tried checking the mail settings and they look so different from the 6 to 7.

Also off late I'm seeing a red dot on my voice mail icon, again intermittently and not always. Wonder why is that.
