From the little bit of research on the web, there is no way of doing it without iTunes or iCloud account. Maybe a local iphone repair store can be of assistance in getting it up and running. Since it is an old one, there is no risk of losing warranty etc. You can give that a try. |

Only way to unlock is if you can connect it to the last PC it was used to sync with. Even if there's no iTunes currently on that PC(or laptop) a fresh download will help. Another option is tricky, but you'll have to open up the phone and replace motherboard ( basically every chip that has any memory device on it). This could cost you more than the phone itself - which is a main reason why iPhones are not a lucrative devices to steal. Yes you could use the components like display, buttons etc but it can never be used like a phone/iPod or anything again. Edit, there's hope if that device has never been synced with iTunes or not set up find my iphone in iCloud - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306. You would need iTunes installed, even if on a regular PC, as well as a cable to connect the phone to the PC, to be able to reset it. Even if you do, when you activate the device, it will ask to enter the Apple Id password last used on the device, if the Find my iPhone feature was enabled previously. |

Yup, that will release the phone from the Find my iPhone feature. However, i still think you would need the Apple id password to activate. But if your bro knows the password, it should be easy then. |

Vodafone/Airtel would be on different LTE Bands. Airtel uses 2300 and 1800 MHz Bands while Vodafone uses 2100 MHz Band. Did you buy iPhone 6 in India ? What is the model number (it would be something like A15....) ? |

| ![]() Guys a weird thing popped up in my mom's iPhone 6. She asked me to check her phone today for an SMS she received couple of days back. But the date shows its from 2002. How is it even possible. I checked the phone's date and it is current. Last week her phone went into a trance as it got hung up with the busy/buffering sign in her middle of screen. The phone could not be used till it's battery died. I came back from my office tour plugged it in the charger and it was working fine. I am attaching a screenshot of the SMS. Let me know if anyone has any idea. ![]() P.S: my mom is freaking out. |
