I saw Panasonic and Samsung from the popular brands and available for 30 K b) which one has good service network as this will be installed in interior Tamil Nadu. I have noticed grey market OGeneral is popular there and also Blue Star, LG, Samsung etc Please let me know if there is any good deal going on at Bangalore -I might buy here and ship it there. |

| ![]() We have two Hitachi 1.5 Ton 3 Star AC's at home from 3 years. Although we use them aggressively only for 3 months in an year I can vouch that Hitachi does an excellent job and beats the extremely hot summers here in Hyderabad. The service as well is good and they promptly call us every 6 months and come home for cleaning the filters and a general checkup , the charges too are minimal. Since both of them are 3 star the electricity bills are between to 3 - 4 K per month for the 3 months when their services are utilized the most which is manageable because our regular bills are approximately 500-700 a month. |

The bill amounts do not quite indicate aggressive usage. | |

| ![]() Friends, finally have narrowed down to 1 Ton AC. Have 2 choices Daikin FTE35 (with B&5 yr W) and O General ASG12(without B & W). Please help me to decide. Price is same for both. I am looking for problem free with almost nil maintenance and long life. I am ok to compromise on power consumption |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Just picked up a Samsung 1T 2 star AC for Rs.23300 with free stabiliser & installation. There are some discounts on for Pongal in Chennai. There was a better deal on a Electrolux 1T 3 star - Rs.21500, but was not too sure of the brand. Anyone have feedback on Electrolux ? |

| ![]() Hello Friends, I would be buying two units of 1 ton AC for my and parents bedroom. The usage would be only during the 2-3 months of hot summers in Pune. For rest of the year we wont need it. I am keen on Daikin or Mitsubishi. Could you suggest if these brands are the right choice? I am keen on quality but not spending a bomb just for the sake of brand name unless it justifies its worth. Also not sure if I should be going for inverter or 5/3/2 star rating AC. Your guidance would be helpful in taking a decision. Power saving and environment are two things which motivated me for a Solar Water heater, but it did justify the savings and return on investment period ![]() Thanks in Advance! tush. Senior - BHPian | ![]() The way power tariffs are going north monotonically, it is wise to get the most efficient AC to reduce the electricity bills. Last summer I installed the Daikin inverter series. It is much superior both in cooling and in electricity consumption to the three Hitachi which we have installed over the years - 1x5* window, 1x3*Window and 1x2* split. |
