Humanity is unfortunate to have such copycats. Companies spend billions to develop good products and these people copy it.

Down with China.

Hey Folks,

I think I have decided on my next QWERTY Phone. It's the Samsung SGH-i780 - Win Mo Pro - good screen resolution and touch screen. All I need to know now is price and availability in India. Will any cell phone junkies please oblige? Thanks.

Google map has some good news for non gps handset users read on and try it

Google Maps

See your location on the map, with or without GPS. Save time and tedious keystrokes finding where you are, what's around you, and how to get there. Watch the video on the right to see how it works.

Hi Cell Gurus,
I am closely following SE p1i, and now its GPS enabled too making it a perfect smart phone. I still have one confusion, generally all the new phones comes with EDGE, but this phone doesnt supports EDGE,(though it has 3G) any significant downside of not supporting EDGE ?
Thanks in advance !!

Yep. Browsing the web will be slooooowwwwwwww. If you use the browser (and download email) only infrequently, it is not a problem.

I find it odd that SE still pretends that EDGE does not exist (except in very rare cases). Probably had to do with the fact that 3G services are available in most parts of the world. In India, well...

Is the touch available only with AIrtel still? The touch2 resolves the problems of the 1st gen one by offering 128MB RAM instead of 64MB. The interface is supposed to be quicker and it comes in newer colours as well.

It's priced at Rs.17,500.

She likes Moto V series but i dont want her to buy it due to its bad reviews and user opinions.
IMHO any mobile phone that has added mechanism like flip panel, slider, swiwel panel, etc. is a no no. Candy Bar is always a safer bet specially because you're buying it for the fairer sex (Yup! I know Clamshells and sliders are more fashionable and suit PYTs more, but heck! You know how good majority of the women are in treating Mobiles and Automobiles!)

At around 10K, I'd suggest you the SE W810 (around 9.5K now). If you are willing to spend around 1K more and are willing to spend a lot more time in getting used to the Ultraslim key pad, go ahead with the SE W610.
