Have a look at the Benq-siemens EF-81 will be out in the first half of April worldwide and kinda matches k750i on features.
Whoa! I was waiting for your reply dev! This seems perfect for what i want. But, reading about all the high end materials in this phone, I have a feeling its going to be priced at about 30K or so. Don't want to spend that much. But, will surely wait and see what the official prices are before doing any swaps now.

looking at the market. See this. Motorola Razr is already a best seller.

Benq-siemens is copying their style.

benq-siemens needs to sell badly.

hence prices will be competitive with more features.

best of all Salora which sells Sonyericsson is going to handle the distribution for benq-siemens.

but tell me your requirements and maybe I can also suggest you some options.

The EF81 is alredy on sale in Europe. Its retailing there for around 500Euro's! I doubt it will sell for less than 25K here.

I basically want a slim phone and not a block like the recent SE's. No Nokia please! I think LG has some slim phones, but I'm not sure I want to buy an LG phone. Other requirements are the usual:-
- Bluetooth
- Decent Cam
- MP3 (radio is a +)
- Video playback
- Expandable memory
- Cheap!!

There seems to be some mistake or you are looking at pre-release prices or these are pre-release models.

Benq-siemens EF81 has not yet released universally.

for some more information

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/...-ef81-en.shtml

http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/March2006/2805.htm

official website
http://www.benqmobile.com/cds/frontd...130873,00.html

Lg phones offer value and are pretty good but they are still not upto mark in reliability and battery life.

here are some phones you should be looking at.

nokia 6230i/6230 (1.3/.3 camera, video capture, bluetooth, expandable memory, radio and lightweight. cons:- it's nokia so its common sight and its not a smartphone)

samsung x700 :- ( 1.3 mp cam, bluetooth, expandable memory, radio, stereo speakers, bright crispt display, lightweight, cons:- multimedia etching is not proper and video rec quality poor, no mic rec available, camera software issues(doesnt let you save pics many times)

6681 doesnt really make sense for nokia 6681, yes. But for many cellphones it does.

It may not be a good eperience to use nokia 6270 after using a smartphone.
try to look at some windows smartphones for your price range.

Nokia 6270 is a middle of the road phone for its price.

Finally got hold of an Eten M600, and I'm luvin it! Free calls on Skype thanks to WiFi at home and office - BEAT THAT!

Compared a whole host of Win Mobile 5 devices (except the O2 Atom which is not available here) and decided on the Eten because it had the best speed and seemed a lot more stable than the others. The imate Jamin was probably the next in line in terms of stability, but it didnt have the speed of the M600 or the processing capacity to handle Skype over WiFi.

So far, so good. Will update if there are any issues and post a review sometime - this is my first non-HTC Pocket PC device in recent times and I would really like it if somebody puts one across HTC's bow because they're becoming pricey and very selective in the features offered on their different models. It seems to be their marketing strategy NOT to give everything to the customer at one shot and instead keep releasing 'new' products that are basically the same old products regurgitated with features and hardware that should've been there in the first place.

If this works, I'm betting on Eten.
