The other thing i liked about Croma (Apart from range) is they email the Bill to you once you are done with the shopping and have registered the email ID with them. No need to retain physical bills which are anyway a pain. I guess everyone in time will move to ePaper and no more physical bills to be retained.

Expandable Memory Up To 16 GB
Sony Ericsson w8 is a good phone, and good enough for most normal use. There is only one problem though which might be important to you (Its not important to some folks) is the support for only upto 16GB expandable memory. Music buffs usually run out of storage while storing music and i have run out of mine (Which is 32GB) so if that does not seem like a problem then its a good phone for Music.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I'm looking for the cheapest phone with the following features -
1. Dual SIM (CDMA & GSM) with Dual Standby
2. Qwerty Keyboard
3. Monoblock design

This is what I narrowed down on till now - Flipkart.com: Micromax Q35: Mobile

Is there anyone who can confirm whether this Micromax phone has dual sim dual standy?

What phone would you suggest to a a person who has been using Nokia phones for past 7 years? Ready to try out the new, only if its reliable.

User Profile -
Likes Camera & Video. Would like to have HD recording phone
Highspeed connectivity very important
Reliability is a very important factor
Battery back-up of 1.5 to 2 days is expected. Hardly gets 10 calls a day! (reason: married)
Will keep the phone for atleast 2 years!

Budget less than 20k

My sister who was planning on replacing her phone with a music phone, realized that an iPod shuffle is a much better choice.

So thanks to everyone who helped here, but she is not buying a new phone.

You should check out Samsung Galaxy Ace and HTC Wildfire S. Android based phones with tons of features. Ace is faster of the 2 with a 800 MHz processor. Both are ~13k.

For HD Recording, you'd need HTC HD7 or Samsung Galaxy S2; but both these are ~30k.

Oh you are selecting a phone for yourself, somehow I got the idea that you are posting the query on behalf of some other person.

If you are averse to Nokia, I would suggest the upcoming Samsung Galaxy W. It is about to be launched in a month or so. Expected price < 20K.

Other options could be Sony Ericsson Arc, Neo and Ray. All amazing phones.

I was also on Nokia for a dozen years, and agree with you 100%. You can get a lot of hardware on Android, just go and find one from a major vendor (LG, Samsung, htc, Motorola, etc.) which suits you. Another option can be a Blackberry. I had one for about seven months and had to move out since it was a 'grey' unit and Reliance was going big on MEID registration. I have a htc Incredible 2 on CDMA (actually a world phone - CDMA + GSM). The equivalent GSM only is Incredible S. Brilliant phone.
