You can use the coupon AMEXLB which will give you a discount of 10% upto 1000/- . Just click on 'Buy it Now' and you will get the option to enter the coupon code at the bottom of the popup. Enter the coupon code and select 'Coupon' from the dropdown next to it. Then click on "Apply coupon code" and your discount will be applied.

Yes, Devendra is a large Nokia retailer. And he doesn't do without bill business.

Thanks a lot DerAlte for reaffirming! I know about DT, being their customer (Jayanagar 3rd block branch) for more than 2 years, but since all retailers/ online shops are selling it for no less than 21k, i thought about asking.. since i can afford to shell out max 18.

My wife can easily spend three or four hours a day using her mobile phone, and frequently does!

Using as in talking? there is a big difference depending upon the phone is communicating to cell tower vs not.

getting a headset might reduce the risk if she really has to talk on cellphone.

just got chance to evaluate HTC ChaCha at Croma and I kinda liked it - Rs.16000. any update from real-life users - this phone has become a serious contender for me. especially, wanted to know about battery life.

thanks,

Hi,

HTC International warranty works in India? If I get a mobile handset from US and have to get it serviced in India, will they do it for free or charge for it?

TIA

What are the best Droids in 10K range. GB 2.3, and a 5Mp camera would really do the trick for me..

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I have just been looking for some signal boosters available online, since my workplace has really low range of Vodafone, and changing my connection or getting another handset is really not convenient for me. What I saw on eBay, just search for "signal booster USA" and you will find many links, costing Rs.300.

My question is, do these things really work satisfactorily? Or are they just gimmicks? Also, are there any disadvantages or potential dangers of using these? Kindly reply with your opinions.

Thanks.

You best bet is LG Optimus NET. It's an awesome phone but has 3MP camera. Or if 5MP cam is an essential requirement for you then wait for prices to drop down. There are few other phone with 5MP cam like Micromax A70, SE Xperia Mini and Samsung Galaxy fit and HTC Wildfire available below 10K (maybe even more with discount coupons) but they all are running on 2.1 or 2.2

I doubt changing the cell phone will help unless your current phone is ancient.

I had the exact same problem; my cubicle had 0 connectivity from Vodafone. The problem was faced eqaully by a humble 3310, my Razr2 and a friend's Galaxy S2.

The Govt. did something really wonderful for me - MNP! I switched to Airtel.

No. I didn't mean changing the handset in that sense. What I mean is, getting another handset for another new connection, or a dual-sim for that matter.

But what about the signal booster? Would it help?
