RIM (BlackBerry) declared a net quarterly loss for the first time. Numbers are looking real bad, it had to write-off inventory of unsold handsets. And their CEO came up with his own "Burning Platform" speech.

Hopefully RIM will smell the coffee now.

One X is the one with the quadcore processor and One S has a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor. I think the One S will be priced around 30k and the One X will be around 35k-36k. I do not think the One X will have many buyers here. SGS2 will now get good competition from One S. What do you guys think?

Alright... One X is at 35K and One V is at 17K. Got the prices from a dealer tonight who says selling starts Sunday/Monday.

Thanks for the confirmation! Could you also verify the price of One S? I was particularly interested in this device as this would be HTC's more powerful rival to SGS2.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I was looking ahead to buy a Iphone 4S 16GB, after owning a SE Xperia X10i for over a year
but got hold of Galaxy note yesterday and certainly got confused

can somebody help me choose the better one?
I own a ipad2 as well and like the ios but android is equally good
everytime i used to compare iphone with others in market the choice goes against iphone
last time too i compared 3GS with X10i and now again 4S vs Note!
Please suggest

It is a matter of personal preference but I have been using the Galaxy Note since November and I think it is more feature packed and VFM. Read my post about it on this thread above.

Asians love samsung most and white people loves only apple

that is a difference i have found till now, wherever you seek any review by a white, he is all praises for apple and when a asian does the same it goes for gadgets with multi tasking abilities
being a asian i too love multi tasking gadgets but apple has its own USP and that creates confusion

Where that came from? Thats quite a hilarious statement
Here in Singapore, every alternate person I see on the streets has an iPhone, and once switched to iPhone, people find it hard to go back to any other phone models, be it Android or WP.

I am not an iPhone user, but my wife is. And I thought she is Asian

if you go by stats, you will find out how much apple is loved over samsung in asia
I am not denying the fact that apple has gained a good place in Asian countries but samsung has a big edge in terms of VFM factor but the same does not state true other way

Do not think twice on that my friend
my statement does not hold true that every asian has to become white to posses an apple, even I have an ipad2

Mods: Please merge two back to back posts

Get a Samsung Galaxy Y or Spice M-350N.

Galaxy Y is much better IMHO.

My father wants to change his E63, no touch phones, what are the options ? Blackberry is almost ruled out, doesn't make much sense to pay for BIS when you can check mails & surf net with much cheaper data plans, unless of course you can use regular 3G plan with a BB. Budget is around 15-20 k

Yaar I disagree. E series interface isn't as good. I pay 199 for 2 gb of sucky net. Bis is 399 . 3g is some 300 odd more but 8520 vs e series, former wins. See HTC chacha, kp has it. I'm also getting one within 4-6 weeks. Sheer beauty though its panned here

300-400 is fine. I saw 1k monthly for bsnl unlimited. They didn't show data cap for limited plans. If he gets around 2gb for the said price then Blackberry it is will check out HTC Chacha (its a real model name? lol)

Tau, I know BB vs E series, remember I did a comparison 2 years ago when I had both
