Team, if you want even more slim notebook in XPS select the LCD with the backlight feature... so that the LCD will be slimmer and the weight of the notebook will be lesser and also battery backup will be more as the LED's in the backlight consumes less power...

Its a bloody finger print magnet!!

I had a small problem with the panel gaps of the lid - Dell replaced it came with some palstic sheet stuck on it - have left it on this time!

I intend to stick one of those laptop scratch guards on it - the finger prints are hideous!

No he is talking about the LED screen, which comes with 13.3" XPS> it doesnt come with 15.4" model in India.

It costs around 4.7k more compared to the regular screen.

haha

nice one
I looked at these 2 laptops at dell.co.in and configured em and posed the specs, all they'll be used for is browsing some videos / audio play and a lil bit of excel/ word and a lil photoshop to clean up some pictures
from what i can think option 1 is a better option with a 250 GB HDD and 3 GB RAM

36k with tax? Good deal then.

Saw an Acer lap last week for 26k. Turion processor and nVidia for graphics. 120GB, 512MB (thats a shame), Vista Home basic I guess. Any good?

Hehehehe....he wished he could delay it! I have had delivery delays with them twice before so this time I gave them such an earful while placing the order, they delivered it in 6 calendar days flat!

Yup, option 1 is much better. And it can't be 36k delivered, check the price again & also calculate the taxes on the second page based on your delivery location.

Suicide is a better option since after working on Vista with 512mb ram you'll want to commit it anyway!
