There is a laptop cleaning kit from HP that works well on laptop screens. It comes with a cleaning liquid, cloth(microfibre), brush et all. I bought this from a Computer Hardware shop in Bangalore. IIRC, cost me around Rs.450.

I placed an order of Dell xps 1330 on 18th feb and havent yet recieved it .. at the time of booking the sales guy promised me it would be delivered on either 3rd or 4th march ... Now when i call on his no. he doesnt pick up and theres no response regarding delivery date from dell .. The order status shows 11 march

... Is this how dell people work ?

@beemer: Why dont you email the sales rep? In fact, they would have sent you a quote through email before you ordered..if you look into that, you will find the email ID of the sales rep's manager...CC that person and see if you get any response. Normally they claim 21 days for delivery, so you are within that limit I guess (though I got my XPS m1330 within 9 days)

If I were you, I would demand extra freebies and upgrades. XPS is their premium line and such service is certainly not acceptable. Tell them you will cancel your order.

gops - I sent the e-mail on sat afternoon and i should be getting the reply by monday . Its been more than 21 days now .. how come you got it in 9 days and howz the overall experience ?

devarshi - ya i 'll try to get the best possible freebies . I 've asked for the refund ..

I have a three year old Dell Laptop - Inspiron 9300. I am planning to upgrade its RAM from 1GB to 2GB (the manual says that 2gb is the max it supports). Where can I get this done in Delhi? And how much it is going to cost?

I could have asked Dell Support, but based on my previous experiences, I know they will charge 50-60% more than the market rates.

Guys, which laptop in 25-30K range would be best. basic prioritized requirements are
1. max possible RAM and HD memory
2. max battery life.
3. wifi enabled.
4. at least 15 inch monitor.

Woof (And no I ain't barking!!) - PM me for details of a good place to get it done. But IMO it's a simple DIY job once you get the correct RAM.
