Try this: Once you've reached the 'single big thumbnail' mode in a gallery album, tapping on the screen once bring up the toolbar on the top, and a scroll-able list of pics in that album at the bottom, which is what you seem to be referring to if I understood right.
Ur right. But what what im referring to is the 'single big thumbnail' scroll view within an album.
Earlier once i tapped into an album, i could view 12 thumbnails per screen and keep scrolling the entire screen enabling me to scroll through the album faster. I also had the option of scrolling at the bottom when i was viewing an individual pic.

Regarding multi window, the toggle on the notification panel is ticked on but seems disabled so i cant select it. I can see a dimmed out tick as ticked on.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Strange issue with my sony walkman w8 .

I have a sony ericsson w8 m runnin android 2.1. I use a 2g connection from Vodafone. Everything was working fine till yesterday . Now I am not able to play youtube videos on my phone. Both the app and the opera mini browser phone gave the same error message . When I opened the app , the phone displayed an error message "Attention , there is no network connection right now. Please try again later" . I checked my data connection it is very much active. I am able to browse other websites ,use whats app without any problem.

I did all the initial checks .

1.Disable / enable data connection
2.reboot phone
3.remove battery .
4.remove sim card.

What could have gone wrong ? Kindly help. Thanks a lot.

You can do one thing. You go to settings and click on manage apps. In that list click on youtube and force stop it. Then click on clear cache. Do same for opera mini also. This might solve the issue.

Indian version comes with Exynos processor and doesn't support LTE. You have to ask someone from the US to carry it for you.

I had no such issues. It was snappier, though still occasionally laggy.

The network issue (3G data goes off if I get in a lift/low coverage area and needs airplane mode to restart data) was worse.

But that is history. The phone was stolen yesterday.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Anyone here used the Huawei Ascend P6?

Looks like a good phone as per gsmarena -
http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_ascend_p6-5467.php

It is available on FlipKart and Amazon for below 25.5K. Also if anyone knows any store which sells it in Mumbai so that I can take a look at it. The big retailers doesn't seem to keep this brand in stock.

Does Google charge shipping and tax for the Nexus 5, if yes how much?

Bad luck with the loss. The Sansung stock firmware sucks, but the hardware is good enough to support decent custom ROMs.

Good luck with your new device, whichever one you choose. Insurance might be worth considering.

No, there are no additional charges. Shipping and taxes are included in the quoted price.

In the US, yes they do (I got the nexus 4 from there last April).

On the Google India play store, the nexus 5 was quoted at Rs. 28,999.00; and that's exactly what I paid for it. Nothing extra. In fact I was a bit concerned, since the e-invoice said 'Google Pte, Singapore'.

Hope this helps
