Thats awesome, all the online reviews said its bad. In fact, I am not very happy with the Xperia Z camera itself. Too much noise for comfort. Sometimes, Nokia N8 pics look better

I agree with Ram - the pics in the reviews of the L are bad. Skin tones not good, noisy .. Relatively, the Samsung S3 & Lumia 720 pics were much better. The bad pics of the L is what is keeping me away from it. After having 3 SE's, I was expecting good PQ in the L, but I am not convinced.

Relatively, the Xperia SP seems much better - both in terms of PQ & the specs. But at 23k, it is about 50% more expensive than the L.

Hello friends,
Any good dual phone CDMA + GSM touch screen phone around 15k . Requirements good battery life to stay a day, camera, to support whatsapp. I feel there is a shortage of CDMA phones, and even wondering if I should port to gsm. But rel CDMA clarity is good, nice schemes too. And to top it, porting from Rel is so tough!

The Droid Mini is looking good. Still need to confirm about the display tech and expandable memory but initial reports indicate its not a Pentile matrix and has expandable memory.

Now, waiting for Moto X to be announced on 1st August.

One of these could be my next upgrade. Almost pulled the trigger on the Razr M but stopped short due to the Pentile matrix display.

Nothing yet on my yakju Galaxy Nexus.

Why don't you check XDA Forums, you will get the OTA URL and get instructions on how to manually update it without losing any data. I'm doing the same for my Nexus 4.

Xperia's camera quality is pathetic.
I have Xperia SP and my sister has Xperia Z, having used SE phones in the past, I'm disappointed.
W810 with 2mp camera was a better shooter.

Samsung and Lumias have better camera.

Yes, I know about that, used it for 4.1 and 4.2.

Problem is, I recently shifted to Windows 8, so, I do not have the Android SDK and fastboot tools etc. installed.

So, I am waiting for the official OTA for the phone.

No need to download whole SDK; you'll get a 500-600KB file with adb And drivers from XDA.

Someone in the family just got his new Samsung SCH-i589; dual sim CDMA+GSM. The first shock is that it cannot run internet on GSM. Second, I am not able to figure out how to back up the phone. Not getting any option to connect it in the suite / kies mode.
Any one for help?

SP is available for around 20K in flipkart + free cover + zero processing/interest scheme

Agree in a way - the samples she sent are slightly worse / at par with my Chacha.
