Why not write in to waze developers or post on the community forum?

@quadra yes it memorises your daily route and even finds you secondary/alternate routes. It even makes you a path breaking bulldozer when you travel on a road that doesn't exist in its data systems. However except roadgoodies and chit-chat disable everything else it ends up becoming a resource hog!
Thanks buddy.

(have posted this in blackberry thread as well)
waze is now no longer giving voice guided navigation. Any help. I will try to reinstall the app soon

Have you guys tried to edit and correct the waze street maps online. I am not sure how the community street correction works. I ended up messing up some streets as I couldn't figure out how to undo the changes that I had made :(

I think in India Waze has tied up with SatGuide etc. Would it still allow general people who just have, say, plain general andorid phones to create new routes etc. for use by other general Waze users?

Comments at location possible?

I was wondering, using Waze, can we leave comments at a location?
If possible, this would be a great way to leave positive/negative comments at say, fuel stations.

So, next time I go to a petrol pump, I can view if any of fellow BHPians have left any comments for this petrol pump. Should I avoid this pump, or not.

I just read news that Google Maps navigation has added voice controlled navigation to Android phones. Wasn't this there earlier?

Can anybody compare how well now Google compares against Waze? Does Waze also use Google maps internally? I guess it would help if Waze and Google points of interest can combine to give us better value.

Google maps voice navigation is not yet available in India yet i think. Its there in US and some other countries.

My Waze almost never is able to connect to GPRS while on road :(
I have Vodafone, and on road it always says "Searching network...", even though my browser is able to surf the net.

I have Samsung Galaxy 3.

So, does anyone have info on what kind of data plan one would need for running waze?

Depends greatly on usage, but some ballpark figures please

I am currently using google maps in the US on my anroid phone (X10) and it works pretty well. I have not tried it in India yet as I never had a GPRS / 3G connection. Since android was developed by google, I am sure it has been there for a while. I have seen older phones with google maps as well espically the Nokia ones.
