You might find more valuable suggestions and reviews on the performance of the model in question from the international forums. Our Yeti and a very selected few here have reported using the indian subscribed BB in any other country. That too mostly disabling the BB service due to its shocking cost while on international roaming. My partner has BB services from Vodafone, but he disables the services whenever he travels out of country and thats almost 1 week every month.

AFAIK, only USA comes under Asia Pacific region, formally. But, in general terms they are always taken into consideration as a separate region.

Anyways, if you have an unlocked phone, it can be used anywhere. If in india, i would recommend Airtel. I guess most of us out here have decent experience with this service provider.

With regards to the phone, 8900 is considered as a smaller bold and has almost all the features as that of a Bold except probably 3G ready ( not sure though).

Blackberry services on international roaming to US via AIRTEL was charged @ 10$ per mb of data transfer, and then there was some registration charge with verizon / tmobile!

@ Quickdraw - what extra features does the 8900 have over the bold, other than the 3.2 mp camera.

It has a much better screen, in terms of pixel density. It doesnt have any more additional features per say. Just the camera is worth it. But BOLD still remains more desirable looking in my books.

Need some help tranfering the calender from a Nokia 6500 classic(symbian40) to BB 8900.
Managed to transfer the contacts via ZYB but have googled and tried all option to get the calender transferred.
I'd rather not use Outlook for the same, are there other options?

Also, is there a way for the BB to stop pulling mail? I know this defeats the purpose of a blackberry but I'd rather have piece of mind than being bombed by work emails in the middle of the night or on weekends.
Is there an option to manually check the mail as and when needed? Or set a time after which mails should stop pulling automatically?

I tried google sync but that only works with symbian60(N series & E series), the 6500c is symbian40.
