Some will wait ...some will move away to other choices and other will be happy with the 3.0.

But not many planning to buy now/awaiting will remain till diwali, they will make their purchase. Its human psyche.

The above pic is sans the X2 platform, we are still a year and a half away from that platform IMHO.

Two safari 2.2 vehicles are in Mumbai. They got here this week, one was cut (roof and side section) and then both were loaded on to a trailer on Friday night and taken to Filmcity (Goregaon) for a ad film shoot....
Only a matter of days now....

Thats sweet news MILIN - looks like they are going to starta pre launch as campaign - something similar to CBZ Extreme - with people thinking what will this be ??

Hi Guys,

The time was 15:10 on the 25th of August 2007.

The place was somewhere between Lonavala and Pune on the expressway. I was headed towards Pune and the Safari in question in the opposite direction. Though I did not catch the badging on the rear the following is what I saw:

1. Silver Safari with all its edges taped in black tape, incl front grill.
2. All side claddings also taped up.
3. The Spare wheel was not attached.

Was going down extremely fast!!!

Turby!!!

(TATA is launching a global Branding Campaign starting tomorrow!!!
Please Dear God let the 2.2 launch then too and put me out of my misery

You have quite some info on the ad-shoot milin and turba, but thats what we look for here.

But the print and TV ads are not a 1-2 days work, its painstaking and might take few weeks to months. Unless they are doing some extra work on the original campaign now.

Ogilvy is their agency for Safari and Sumo campaigns. Some faces who won the abby awards for Ogilvy, i think for safari "reclaim your life" campaign.

Well the cars are here in Mumbai, and they were loaded at Worli on Friday night.

But the cutting of sections was going on for couple of days.

Also as we know the dashboard has a beige theme, the roof mounted aircon vents are new (not the old clumsy system), the door pads have better NVH and better fit. Just hope there is consistency on the production line.

i have already clicked 2.2lit Tata safari. and your spy photographer is still waiting for permission from doctor to drive vehicle.
so for some days it is hard to do spyphotography.
