With rumoured launch date getting close,shouldnt have TATA started shipping the beast to their dealer's?
I think I should visit the yard opposite TML with my camera today...

If you see my posting a day back. I mentioned that i saw 4 Brand new safaris without temporary registration moving fast on the other side of road. Well as dealers say, this car should be in their yards by 20th or 21st

who knows what mahindra is thinking...they might be waiting for launch of safari 2.2. Once safari is out, they might launch their 2.2l version.

How come there is no news from other cities? A dealer launch conference will have dealers from all over the country. Its usually never limited to only one city. Can we find this out??? Or is it going to be phase wise launch?

Oops..I might have missed it.

The yard I mentioned is the one opposite to TML Plant.All their cars are parked there before being loaded onto trucks to the dealers.A visit here will help rest a lot of speculation about the trims for 2.2(Only EX and VX for 2.2 or also LX) . But I was there last week on friday evening and I didnt see any Safari's.Will try my luck today too.

This thread now sounds like wait for the climax of a thriller movie.

To the extend, that I am thinking of trading my VTEC for the Safari 2.2....!

Needless to say the recent flooding in Blr

has helped these thoughts.

Interestingly (and inviting a lot of rage from safari-lovers here), as of today, the scorpio is good 2 to 3 seconds faster when it comes to 0-100kmph dash and still not much excitement on the new 2.2 ltr scorpio.

TBHP is a wierd place :-)
