On the whole, the Toyotas sold in India, especially the current Innova come with a front end that looks very odd and seem like an afterthought. These are nothing as compared to the Toyotas in the United States and Canada which may be different vehicles but come with contemporary design cues and make the entire package look more classy and elegant. If anyone cannot understand my point, check out the Altis sold on the U.S. and Canada. It much neater and sporty as compared to the Indian car.

Fingers crossed, I hope Toyota doesn't mess up the the looks of the 2015 Innova because I have been eagerly waiting to get one next year.

re: SCOOP! 2016 Toyota Innova spotted testing in Bangalore. More pics on page 7

Current Innova pricing levels are very similar to Toyota Sienna in USA.
I hope they bring Sienna to India with same pricing.
Innova current version is pretty basic compare to international standards and inflated price. Toyota has been milking Innova for last 9 yrs without any significant changes due to lack of worthy competitor and loyal taxi segment.

The irony is Innova is short for "Innovation" and there is hardly any innovation in Toyota Innova.

- It is innovation from the company's side. Offer an outdated product with no features and icing to the cake, make it a hit and milk money out of the consumer.

I agree - but i dont think Sienna will ever make it to India. Toyota have plans of launching the Hi-Ace here to lure the taxi market for a luxury 12 seater for around 32-35 lacs OTR. This is to compete against the imported VW transporters.

Innova will be sold with some minor changes and hopefully some additional features and will costs 3-5 lacs higher than the current version.

If the renderings are to go by. The design language does reflect a lot with the Sienna.

If these renderings are to be believed what I can notice is the change of fuel lid. It means that the fuel lid has also gone to the other side of the car.

The renderings look good (compared to the current model),although upsizing the tyres would add some mean proportions IMHO.

Fuel lid is on the left side (opp to the driver side) of Innova in both existing Innova and this test mule, how did you come to know that it went to the other side? It was always on the other side.

That's correct. I believe the image has been reversed by mistake.

I really hope they improve the power and cure the fifth gear of it's short ratio or give a sixth gear. Also hope they give the 2.7L 158hp V6 here as they do in UAE!!

Innova doesn't come in V6 engine specifications in the UAE. It has the same engine as Fortuner and Hilux, 2.7 ltr 158 bhp 4 cylinder petrol engine.

You caught a huge typo in the Toyota AE website. The 2.7L engine is a simple inline 4 engine code names 2TR-FE.
