I second that! Tata must have asked Harman to integrate the climate control display into that lovely looking touchscreen (like on the Zest), but it would be better to have a regular display between the buttons as well. The empty space between the buttons does look quite odd.

This interior design is leagues ahead of anything that Tata have on their other cars, and indeed better than what others in this segment offer. The Nexon will also be the first Tata vehicle to get true keyless entry & a start-stop button (unless the Hexa gets it first).

I guess multi colour option will come only on the top end as Brezza. All other versions may in mono shades only.

The car looks 'WOW', though I would have liked a wider field of vision through the rear glass.

And this is a second TATA car where the 3rd passenger is unwelcome at the rear!!

PS: I'm sure, it would look gorgeous in the "Bolt" Red color!!

Beautiful interiors but I feel exteriors look very busy, especially the rear. I hope they tone it down in the final production version.

TATA should not take forever to launch nexon and Kite 5. They should bring these as soon as possible.

TML, it appears wont provide cruise control on the Nexon (from the steering). All the latest offerings in this space are providing atleast some driving convenience feature. While Brezza ZDi+has cruise control, the Ecosport has EBA + ESC + TCS + HLA.

...and is it only me who feels the Nexon interiors are BMW inspired?

All will be realeased soon. Nexon is expected this time next year. They can have t earlier but they want the tiago and kite to stabilise. This is one of the strongest push by an auto firm ever I suppose.. Can't wait to see the market reaction!!!

Is it only me who thinks that the Nexon doesn't give a (mini) SUV look from the side profile. In fact it looks more like a true crossover, like the S-Cross, except from the rear quarter angle(where it looks raised). It does not matter to me much(as long as the interiors make up for it), but the mass market which wants an SUV type look may be disappointed. Have a look-

The Brezza definitely has the most SUV type look perhaps due its more squarer design. The Ecosport too looks butch, with the large front grill and the tail mounted spare wheel greatly helping its cause. However, I can't say the same about the Nexon. The swooping roof line definitely reduces its SUV appeal. Maybe seeing it in person will change my mind.

This looks way to cool, a practical yet stylish.

Launch should be around festive season...... please:

Sorry for the bad Photoshop work. But raising the rear portion, making the roof floating and reducing the grey application a bit will surely decrease the quirkiness and will add to the SUV appearance, IMO.

Sorry to say, your iteration doesn't gel with the overall scheme. Let Nexon be as it is. Why to make it another Brezza.

Nexon is a beauty. It is unique and not like a boxy out of the text book car like the Brezza. Tata has excelled where Mahindra Failed. Rather than getting a series of launches, Tata is surely banking on a few solid models like TIAGO, KITE 5, NEXON, HEXA etc.

C pillar needs to be thinned and glass area increased. Looks claustrophobic in its current form. Your changes do give it a bigger size !

Wondering what strategy is to get an auto magazine do a test drive and then launch the vehicle for customers a year later! Hearing that it would be launched in May, 2017 :Frustrati
Wouldn't the customer's loose interest by then? The only other reason I can think of to release details is to hear what the potential customers have to say and then have a year to fix or improve stuff.

IIRC this has been done earlier by TML and other brands too. I remember clearly that there was a Overdrive issue I bought which contained the 'initial' impressions of Tata Aria. I had an Autocar issue for the first-gen Tata Indigo too, about six months before its launch. It had lots of pictures of its interiors and the features. It just stated 'expected to be come by xxx-20xx and to be priced around xx-xx lakhs (don't remember the figures or dates). Similarly, we have initial ride/preview reports of every important launches (such as the new Toyota Fortuner, Innova, Honda BRV, etc) much before the actual product launch but after the product unveiling. This is mostly done for marketing and advertisement purposes (some might be paid reviews too). They also gather last minute feed-backs from the testers.

Not sure how reliable this info is, but Nexon is launching in May 2016. Here is the link for the news.

Can anyone from the source confirm this news & if so its a really sweet news for the summer & Nexon fans
