| ![]() Good pricing, but definitely not a great pricing. Should have been cheaper by 30-40k. Imo. But in delhi, 1.2L cheaper than scross, ecosport and ciaz diesels, 60k cheaper than ertiga, and a whopping 2.75L cheaper than creta. Cheaper than tuv as well. Good. 1L costlier than swift and 75K costlier than baleno diesels. Hm... Interesting. Can expect the petrol (shvs to escape from higher taxes?) model at 5.99L. | ![]() VB starts @ 6.99 Lacs - 9.68 Lacs ![]() Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki India gave a brief. Maruti Suzuki took five years to develop this product in India. The VB has a localisation level of 98 per cent. The Vitara Brezza is already homologated for the safety regulation that will be introduced in the country in 2017. The vehicle is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 13.3 sec Available in 4 trim levels and 6 variants, dual tone theme only available on ZDi+ trim. The vehicle comes in 8 exterior paint jobs and 3 combinations with the blue and yellow getting white roof while the red sports a black roof ![]() Another blockbuster from MSIL ![]() Maruti Suzuki in India can't go wrong, can it? IMO they could have got it under 10 lacs for dual tone variants as well Last edited by Karthik Chandra : 8th March 2016 at 17:17. |

| ![]() Reposting the screenshot for clear Delhi Prices. ![]() These will be introductory prices, will be increasing in near future. I also feel prizes are not very competitive. Last edited by bageherath : 8th March 2016 at 16:57. |

| ![]() Spot on pricing. Though many would have expected this car to under-cut the Ecosport and TUV by some margin. This was what i was expecting. 6.99 to start with. Quote:

| ![]() I feel the 2 lakh difference between VDi and ZDi+ is not justified. Ldi is priced mostly at what most people expected at 6.99L. This answers why the AMT is not released at launch. That would have done too close to 11 L, ex Bangalore for the top variant. Somehow I felt the body language of the folks at Maruti was not too comfortable today and the entire show looked like a school annual day function. They should have pulled out a better one. The way Mr. Raman handled simple and obvious questions, not very impressed. |

| ![]() When we mention "The Vitara Brezza is already homologated for the safety regulation that will be introduced in the country in 2017", Does anybody know where can I see what is the safety regulation that will be introduced in India by 2017? Apologies, I would have missed out somehow if its already been discussed. Thanks Balaji Babu |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Few experts from the webcast: *Another good example of "Make in India" initiative. * Amounts mentioned are introductory prices. *VB is only for domestic market time being. *Current power train option will be only with MT. * SHVS technilogy will be extended to further models in the MSIL line up. * Expected volume - "Aiming to capture #1 position in compact SUV segment". Well, that means in the range of 5000-10,000 units per month. Am I guessing wrong here?? ![]() Whenever a new product is launched by MSIL in a new segment, most of the times it went ahead in dethroning the current leader. In today's scenario, VB can really put some huge pressure for Ford Ecosport and TUV300. This is going to be a back to back winner after Baleno from MSIL stable in terms of sales. |

| ![]() The pricing looks pretty spot on. However, IMO the Zdi+ is a bit overpriced. Ideally they should have managed to price all variants <10 Lakhs across the country just to avoid the upcoming 1% tax at source!! |

When you say it should be < 10 L for ZDI+ for most cities, does that mean that Mumbai has the highest Ex-Showroom price among most Indian cities ? I'm trying to draw a conclusion as to whether the Ex-showroom in Bangalore would be lesser than or more than that of Mumbai. ![]() | |
