Renault's war or ergonomics still continues. Just look at the position for the start stop button!

The exterior design looks good with all the elements but that's where it seems to end. There is nothing premium about the interiors, engines and the features list. It better have the Duster's magic carpet ride and sharp handling.

And WHERE ARE the AT and AWD?

Renault have always designed their cars like that.
Another Example - Gets Audio Controls behind steering wheel like on Duster.

Not pure white, but a light shade of Grey. White will be impractical, even if the seats are white, only the show car here is sporting them. Production car will have Black/Beige or Black/Grey Interiors. Not sure if Beige will be offered here.

With lack of automatic, time to wait for the next choice which is Ford Ecosport. Has everything going for it specially

With the Captur and S-Cross being utter disappointments, the stage is set for Ford to debut the new EcoSport with all guns blazing and take the market by storm. I hope it capitalises on it.

It fails to impress me as far as the interiors are concerned. There doesn't seem to be a premium look to it at all. It looks more like a refurbished Duster inside. The start stop button is at a very awkward position. No AT and AWD as even an option on a SUV starting with a price tag of around 1.5million rupees ( I am guessing it would be this much) doesn't make sense when most of the rivals have either or both as an option. What has made Renault so overconfident in this segment to omit these features all together when the competition is getting fiercer in this segment? I wish them luck but don't see it being a hot seller like Duster was for them.

The engine "Start Stop" switch placement looks like an after-market job. The power windows switch seems to be carried over from Duster, the width of the door handles appears to eat into the leg room of front seats like it is in Nissan Micra and Sunny. The dashboard is very basic and the central air vents are too small. Value Engineering is clearly absent in Renault's design process.

A good encouraging point is the fact that they do mentioned AWD and AT versions not the time of launch. Which means Captur will have an AWD version later in time! So we will have more options for AWD for 5 seater SUVs/X-overs.
