| ![]() That might be the reason the 2017 Swift's derriere is looking a little awkward and 2017 Dzire's looking quite acceptable, at least to me. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that this is going to "set" err "keep" the sales chart on fire. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() First round of Service training for the upcoming New Dzire concluded today. My regular SA was a part of it, and according to him, three more sessions of training is planned. No idea when the sales training will commence. Regards, Shashi |

| ![]() I was at a Maruti showroom to check out the discounts on Swift. I was told by the SA that the dealer already received 350 bookings of the new gen. dzire. Also, he speculated that the price could be up by ~70k from the current gen. dzire. And the waiting period would not be less than a month ![]() Now maruti has the following options in the same price bracket(+/- 1lakh) which could lead to serious cross-shopping - 1) Baleno (Premium Hatchback) 2) Dzire (Compact Sedan) 3) Brezza(Compact SUV) |

-The main training was on New Dzire, and Super Carry LCV(Maruti planning for an all India launch soon). -One Dzire was equipped with Boosterjet 1.0 engine, although nothing was said whether it will be launched in the domestic market or not. -Most of the suspension and brake components are shared with the new Baleno -There was an extended session regarding the grade of the engine oils to be used. -Automatics on offer right from the launch, and they will be on offer on the top variant too. The cars are still in the training centre, and I will try to visit them to get more details. Regards, Shashi | |

| ![]() The 1.2 petrol and 1.3 diesel engines are remaining the same. Will be interesting to see if they bundle in the 1.0 Boosterjet petrol as well or if they will keep it for a later launch like they did with the Baleno RS Hindustan Times has been speculating a 1.0 Boosterjet petrol version:http://www.hindustantimes.com/autos/...KGJKrBFPO.html Interesting to see if maruti keeps aggressive introductory pricing at 10K higher over current Dzire before bringing in the 70K price change as speculated over time |

| ![]() I think price increase will be in the range of 15-20k for the LXI/LDI, VXI/VDI and ZXI/ZDI variants. ABS and airbags won't be standard but will be optional for the lower variants, feature list will be more or less same as the current gen's. The new top end with projectors, DRL and Smartplay touchscreen etc will be ZXI+/ZDI+ which will be 50-60k higher than the ZXI/ZDI, this translates to a premium of around 70k over the current gen Dzire's top end ZXI/ZDI. Now the current gen Dzire is launched as Dzire tour for 5.24/5.99 (petrol/diesel), current Dzire is 5.35/6.16 (LXI/LDI) so the facelift can start at 5.49 for petrol and 6.29 for diesel without the optional safety packs. |
