| ![]() That seems to be a ZXi badge above the "AGS" label. I would be disappointed if they launch the petrol with an AMT instead of the proper auto box of the earlier Dzire or even the CVT from the Baleno. With Maruti aggressively pushing AMTs onto the market, it would just be a matter of time before proper automatics become the sole purview of luxury cars. |

| ![]() The new Dzire would come only in AGS guise and not fully automatic. The automatics would come only to Baleno and above if there is demand for the same. |

| ![]() I find a distant possibility that this new model will be sold only in higher trims (as Grand DZire?) alongside the lower variants of the current DZire (which will have a Tour model as well). Reading between the lines of Ciaz moving to Nexa and news about a higher price for the new DZire model, this could be a possibility. |

| ![]() What is wrong with Suzuki stylists? Can't they come out of that "i - have - to - design - a - moving - cartoon" psyche? Purely from a styling point of view, this looks quite bad. The "guppy-fish" open mouthed look is not good at all. It doesn't have an "intelligent" "smart" look. Whereas the hatch looks sharp and taut, the sedan is looking flabby and bulbous - certainly doesn't resonate with the term "swift" - which conjures up a different picture altogether. But I am sure, many people will drool over "guppy", its looks and soon adopt it as their family member. |

![]() Maruti Suzuki would do well to simply stick to the 4-speed TC gearbox on cars like the DZire, Ertiga & Ciaz petrols. If they want to put in an AMT, they can do so on the diesels. The same goes for Hyundai too. They should stick to the 4-speed TC gearbox on the Grand i10 & Xcent petrols. If they want to put in an AMT, they can do so on the diesels. Though they get bashed unnecessarily on this forum, there is absolutely nothing wrong with 4-speed TC gearboxes in cars costing upto and around a million rupees. The only advantage an AMT has over a 4-speed TC is fuel efficiency (and a slightly lower purchase cost, maybe). I'd prefer proper 4-speed TC automatics over the automated manuals any day, as the former are better in all other aspects! | |

| ![]() Is it me or has anyone noticed this trend too !!! I call this grill design as "Selfie Pout Grill" Somehow my eyes see this as an desi version of Aston Martin, Shelby Cobra retro style. Are the designers of Maruti DZire 2017, Hyundai Creta 2017, Ford Aspire 2016 been trained by same designer guru ???? ![]() |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I think it's a bold and rather timely move on Suzuki's part to try and wean the Dzire from the Swift brand. Dzire should be able to stand on its own. Dzire now seems more like a sedan, with the longer, lower stance and the better integrated boot. I think they have gone for a more luxury and comfort oriented design for the Dzire, vs the sporty flavour of the Swift. It's a good move. Maybe later, as the market matures, they can even offer a sportier variant with Swift bits inside.. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() They've definitely moved on the game. As mentioned by the contacts of the Bhpians here, it is clearly visible how the Dzire is more than just a boot stuck on the back of the swift this time around. See the bonnet on the last pic above, it is much curved and a little shorter than the International swift. So the overall appearance is much more balanced this time. and maruti seems to have given into the Trend and offering diamond cut alloys. But all these features and designs make me very excited for the upcoming swift!! |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Agreed. Looks a lot longer than ever before. Overhangs seem to be way more than Xcent. This looks like a mini Ciaz from the side. Could very well be the reason why Maruti hurriedly moved the Ciaz to NEXA without waiting for its facelift. |

| ![]() This makes no sense! That means New Dzire Tour will have close to 200 litre of boot space, which is almost same as the current Swift. Which makes new Dzire a LWB Swift. The article sounds ridiculous and hurriedly put up. |
