Wrong reportage. Jeep India has been building export-spec Compass TrailHawks for many months now. These export-spec models are being sent to Australia, etc.

Wonder why the camouflaged cars are still being spotted, when cars were being spotted with just masking around the badges as far back as in June this year.

As per ACI, Trailhawk launch scheduled for the Q2 of 2019.

Will be available only with the 9 speed auto.

Compass sales will drop to 700 units per month by then. It is really going to be hard for FCA to regain the numbers.The gamble of not going with the diesel automatic from launch is really going to hit FCA hard.

I am eagerly waiting for the Jeep Compass Trailhawk but had hoped for a Petrol Automatic option. The Diesel Automatic doesn't have good reviews and is sluggish as reported. Any proper reviews of the same?

Here is an Australian review of the Compass. The 9 speed ZF seems pretty ok, though not in the league of the DSGs.

I really do not think that the auto will be a deal breaker. My concern now is more with the mandatory speed beeps which will be pretty annoying. Especially the two beeps every 30 seconds above 80 kmph.

Where we are at, the Trailhawk only differs in its crawl ratio and active drive modes with 4low, a 2 cm (!!!!!!) GC increase and of course tow hooks painted red.

No reason why this should set the sales chart afire, though posers would love to be seen in it.

And that low ratio can help you crawl through Bangalore traffic...

Its not just about crawling through Bangalore traffic, perhaps the higher GC will help it wade through 'trail-rated Bangalore roads' too :-). Sorry to go off topic but could not resist it.

I saw one trailhawk being tested in NICE road ,Bangalore yesterday. So, looks like we are reaching closer and closer to the launch.

I too saw a trailhawk in Pune on Sunday. Its front bumpers and badges on rear were masked, but rest of the car was unmasked. I was wondering why the Compass was being ridden partially masked, till I saw this thread.
