With the media drives in progress, there should have been some announcements around the schedule. I remember watching the live unveil of the Hexa!

In addition to the above mentioned reasons, the black shade is extremely difficult to maintain, scratches, swirls and dust accumulation are very much visible. I have first hand experience of the same for last 4+ years as I own a black 4th generation Honda City. But I would have to say, once washed and waxed no other color on any sedan would give you a more sexy look.

Yes, it's quite remarkable that the turn-around time has been just 12 months. I am not taking away that fact. It's something that you and I can notice, but the common buyer doesn't care about all these facts.

If you see a pattern across industries, the companies that have higher valuation, successful and deemed as the future leader in their respective areas are the ones that have disrupted the market in some way or the other. The disruption has always been the way in which they bring real value to the customer in what they have to offer. That value has to be real and measurable. I fail to see the real value in the current launch of Harrier. That's all...No offence to anyone who has made the bookings

Thats assuming the company started working on it just before they showed it as a concept. Having said that, they already started with a proven platform (LR Discovery Sport), proven engine (Fiat 2.0 Multijet) so I wont say I am totally surprised by quick turn of events.

I think that's because of the embargo, but still that shouldn't stop them from posting teasers or small tidbits/snippets. Haven't seen that at all. Perhaps the driving starts later and today was just presentation etc.
None of them have posted any pics too, so perhaps the embargo covers pics too. Sigh!!

Did you mean AWD? The AT they cite due to procurement issues. In any case I am unwilling to believe that the AWD that does not fit on the Harrier due to this issue will fit into the H7X on the same platform with the same engine. To me it looks like a timeline thing.

Integrating both the AWD and the Hyundai sourced AT would have meant delaying the Harrier significantly and losing a lot of potential customers. This must be an attempt to at least garner the manual 5 seat crossover customers rather than lose them all.

But I still think they need to accelerate as they are losing AT customers and Hyundai might bring in the 4WD which the Creta has in other markets to India just to differentiate and keep market share.

While on the 7 seat there is only the XUV and the Innova Crysta right now the market is hotting up and IMHO 2020 will be when Mahindra and Hyundai seem poised to be bringing in the new generation so now is the best time to compete against an aging XUV. Every months delay means they lose out on potential market and runway but I am sure Tata knows this
