Looking at the Scoop picture, the Curcuma Yellow+Black seems to be different from the rest of the cars, as it appears to have DRLs different from the rest. While the DRLs of Curcuma seems to be same as the UK models DESIGN, SEL and upwards; the rest of them seem to get DRLs from S and SE models.

Wondering if there two models in the offing !

The image reveals that the T-Roc will come with LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights. The SUV will also get a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, digital instrument cluster and 17-inch alloy wheels.

re: Volkswagen T-Roc spotted in India EDIT : Now launched at Rs. 19.99 Lakhs

The 0-100 km/hr acceleration is impressive for a crossover. However based on what we saw at the Expo, this is a very compact crossover. The Seltos felt more roomy.

What was little disappointing is that interiors are all hard plastics and not like a 20L VW product. It's well specced out with leather seats, panoramic sunroof, digital "cockfit" but misses a couple of them like electric seats.

Looking at the speculated 20L T-roc pricing, gives me some hope for the Skoda Karoq being priced better cause that is a more traditional and practical option to the VW with similar mechanicals.

However 20L ex showroom is not cheap as cities like Bangalore it will be close to 26L on road if you add road tax, insurance, warranty and other extras.

How do you compare the space of Skoda Karoq compared to the T-Roc? Mechanically they seem to be very identical.

Found the Karoq to be more spacious with better headroom and marginally more legroom. Seats are also better for 3 in Karoq vs the T-Roc which has a narrower middle seat.

With sunroof being offered in India, the headroom is further reduced by 5cm,
as can be seen from the specs on UK website.

Does anyone know from which country will the India's T Roc be manufactured ? I think the ones sold in UK are made in Portugal.

All T-Rocs sold globally are manufactured at their facility in Portugal. So the car will most definitely be of Portugese origin in India as well

re: Volkswagen T-Roc spotted in India EDIT : Now launched at Rs. 19.99 Lakhs

So got the news that first batch of 300 T-ROC CBUs are arriving this month.

Dealerships are asking for a refundable deposit of Rs 10,000 for bookings.

Will come with an aggressive price, the sales executive tells me !

I really like the TROC - great balance of power, features, size, design. Having said that, it looks to be half-a-size smaller than ideal and might be smaller than the likes of Creta and Seltos. So, it is pretty clear that it will struggle even with an aggressive price tag. The Skoda Karoq seems better bet considering similar power and equipment levels but slightly bigger, spacious with more road presence.

re: Volkswagen T-Roc spotted in India EDIT : Now launched at Rs. 19.99 Lakhs

The salesperson from VW Safdarjung in Delhi who's helping me with my T-Roc expects that the demo cars will be available towards the end of March following the launch on the 18th. Deliveries to begin in the first two weeks of April.

Booked mine for Rs. 50,000 (refundable) the week after the Auto Expo unveil. VW Safdarjung expects the T-roc to be priced at ~20L ex-showroom (~23L on-road Delhi)

Most of the sales rep are quoting the same price range so might be some truth in it. Hope for the best
