Maruti SX4 - Now LAUNCHED 6.18 lacs ex-delhi!! Pics on pg.30!!

Today a sales person showed me SX4-ZXi at their warehouse, at first look from the front car didn't impressed me much.....front grill looks like a Indigo(looks like a different than SX4 @ Autoblog . Overall from outside car looks HUGE and TALL. Somehow car doesn't look proportionate.........may be because of its height and huge stretched trunk. Comparatively exterior of NHC is sleeker, balanced and looks like Rs.8L car.

Trunk is very large and can be open with key located at right leg side of driver's sit. Interior is spacious, looks nice but plastic could be better. I think steering stereo controls on the right side of wheel are missed in Indian version. Also, in dash stereo is little different than SX4 displayed at NY auto show( Autoblog ).

These are my personal feelings at my first and short visit at warehouse so…..it might change when I’ll get a chance to test drive next week.

Actually I’ve been waiting for SX4 from quite a long and now I’ve to decide between NHC-EXi (approx Rs.7.70L OTR) or SX4-Zxi (I hope Rs.8L if it jumps above then I’ll seriously think about NHC-EXi).

Right now SX4 looks better in everything on paper except two things ….brand name and exteriors compare to Honda City Exi.

I’ll wait for the test drive next week and some good detail reviews from BHPains then will finalize the car.

BTW I'm looking for fuel efficient and low maintenance sedan. Budget: 7-8L

Stop worrying buddy..Sneak peeks and spy photos are commom before car launches..If maruti cant accept that they can take a walk..besides SX4 photos and videos are all over the internet for a longtime now..

are we ? It is car a which will be launched in 2 days for the general public !! IMO Ford / Honda / anyone can't launch a SX4 killer in 2 days based on these photos

Also most of the posters / visitors here are existing / prospective customers for maruti ...

I don't know if anyone has noticed it or not but for some reason, in Geek's third photo, the car looks quite similar to the Corolla.
Anyways,
this is the car to watch out for, specially in diesel. Just hpoe Maruti prices it right because no matter how their present image is, it still can't beat that of a Honda.

Overall the car looks good except for those headlamps which are not suitable for a Sedan.Pricing is the key otherwise the SX4 will be a slow seller.

Do maruti have a licence for the 1.3L Multijet with VTG,if yes then at 90bhp that is the engine to have.

The car looks good. The car is bieng shown in different news channels and the Sony TV program Indian Idol. It all depends on the pricing Maruti delivers. If priced right, it can give a good competition to the Honda City.

today i have visited bimal autos and saw the sx4 its good but iam not so excited bou it its tall and more like honda city and verna type design
tyres were huge i guess with 16" aloys overall a good car

P.S- You guys are in for a shocker regarding the price. Watch out for this space...and oh, the legroom at the rear isn't as bad as it looks...
