What? Really?

AFAIK, in the pre facelift version, only the LXi lacked front armrest. Not sure if Maruti is screwing up big time, or cleverly trying to make space for the new Vitara, so that no one gets a shock.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Surely optimistic pricing from Maruti, I can only think of two reasons: either they are overconfident that the brand Brezza has enough pull to justify such a noticable surge in price, or they purposefully priced Brezza higher as a scapegoat to make the bigger upcoming Vitara vfm in comparison so as to enjoy higher margins.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Question to the Brezza owners, is the 328 Litre boot as good as it sounds or is there some Creta like "flatter to deceive 433 litres" kind of space ?

They don't need to price it lower; the demand is such that the waitlist will run into a few months soon, if not already

At least we are getting a good gearbox and most of the features that used to be alien to Maruti, thanks to competition from Koreans.

This is a deliberate attempt to price Vitara even higher.

I wonder how that area will look? Ugly, perhaps?

Add missing fogs too (but gets electric sunroof )Perhaps the answer lies in these two:

Considering the pricing, MSIL should have just thrown in ventilated seats in the ZXI+, especially since they are already in the parts bin now.

First Look review, media drive coming up shortly!

Brezza in white seems to be the favorite, and stands out from the rest :

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

While the interior has definitely taken a nice step up, what is what asymmetric infotainment screen base?! It is tugging at my OCD!
Also concurring with the general consensus here that it does seem overpriced. I was thinking the top model would land at under 15L OTR Bengaluru, but this is going to be around 17L, which is quite a lot. Makes the Brezza more expensive than the Nexon, Sonet, Venue and the XUV300.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I was planning on purchasing the ZXI-AT variant but might drop my plans given that it would cost almost~15.5L on-road (and still does not get a driver armrest). I was exploring the VXI-AT variant which be ~13.5L on-road, but it misses some key features.

Is it possible to get a rear parking camera & fog lamps installed post-purchase at the dealership? Or would that void the warranty?

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Good people, hi.

I think we've established till now that the AT unit in Brezza would be the same TC being used in new Ertiga and XL6 (Ertiga/XL6 threads).

The one's who know, and the one's who may guesstimate, in your opinion, would this be good enough for drives in the hills? Basically, how capable could this be when compared to its manual version, while overtaking and non-spirited leisurely drives.

My left leg has been troubling me for a few years now and clutch operation have become rather painful. Not much I can do to the leg (taking therapy though) but thought that moving further I would rather buy an automatic (I have some experience with driving automatics overseas but in non hill regions).

I've booked a ZXI Auto at this stage. Thank you.

Brezza was launched with the armrest only in the ZDi+ variant.

The Maruti Event, in comparison, felt bland and uninteresting.
With all the "hard work" they did in bringing out this hot & techy Brezza. There was only this much they could show off.

Also, however good this may look to other people[if at all], I can't help but compare it to Magnite. At the same time I am deeply saddened to say that, the magnite looks better now. Brezza seems just like proportionate and bigger magnite with squared grille.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Just checked the on road prices and damn Maruti is really optimistic:

The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh-whatsapp-image-20220701-9.22.16-am.jpeg

It suddenly makes the XL6 which everyone thought was no longer VFM look like a bargain.

Spend 50K more get more features like ventilated seats, larger cabin, 6 seats and full sized car not a compact sub 4m.

They have loaded the car for sure and finally a car with a reliable 6 speed TC box in this segment but man this is a tough sell.

You get the Seltos IVT HTX for less than a lakh more.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Maruti Suzuki should have called it hot, techy and pricey in their presentation. Not expected these kind of prices from a sub 4m car. Cars above it like the Ciaz and the S-Cross feel much more VFM now. Anyone who is buying the Brezza today can surely look at the older cars of a segment higher.

I feel that after a year or so we may see some good discounts by Maruti dealers for this car.
