2022 Hyundai Tucson Unveil

Here's the first peek at the new Tucson.



First look at the interiors of the Hyundai Tucson.



New Tucson will get ambient interior lighting (64 colours), 10.25” touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25” digital instrument cluster and more.

India-spec Tucson will get ADAS safety systems.

The new Tucson gets ventilated front seats and a 'diffused' AC mode for the dual-zone climate control.



2.0 petrol and Diesel engines return, The petrol makes 156hp and 192Nm with 6-speed AT

Diesel 186hp and 416Nm with 8-speed AT

No manual transmission on offer.



The new Tucson will come in 5 single-tone and 2 dual-tone paint options.

This confusion shows Hyundai is not completely ready to launch the car yet and had to rush this media launch.

Love the ADAS level 2 functions, but hate they retained the same engines.

I have been waiting on the line with my almost 10 year old i20 to upgrade to a car, ScorpioN, XUV 700 and Tucson has been in my eyes.

Let's hope the pricing doesn't disappoint like a Jeep Compass

Mixed signals coming from Hyundai!! Usually, they come up with pomp and show. It seems to me they are waiting for good time to launch Tucson and will fire all cylinders with India Unveil, Newspaper adverts and so on.
We would just need to wait for Hyundai India to be really active for this one. This also means the launch of this vehicle in India may be delayed.

Nonetheless, Tucson worldwide has been a promising vehicle and if priced right will sell in decent number in Indian market.

Engine options- 8-speed auto with the diesel!

Gets Terrain modes in the HTRAC AWD (Snow, Sand, Mud), which is great but not clear if it comes in both the petrol and diesel versions. Unfortunately, the 2.0 petrol could mean India won't get the HTRAC AWD with the petrol version since it usually comes with the 1.6T. Hope I am wrong.

So we dont get the electronic gear shifter, but rather a conventional lever ? I wish it was a bit more stubby than the tall boy I see in the pictures!

First impressions:

• Great presence: Quite the looker, sure to turn heads
• Shoddy looking alloys: Look like from a segment below - really basic looking
• Beige interior: Yikes, cannot imagine the maintenance. Was really hoping the black/grey interior would be carried over.
