This has been up for a month or more. No new details here yet, unfortunately.

Correction: Just updated!! Unfortunately, still does not clarify if the HTRAC AWD system comes with both petrol and diesel engines.

I will probably book this and wait for a TD to go ahead with the purchase. I was just hoping that we get the ride by wire push button gear selector. The Indian Tucson is more in line with the Tucson released in South Africa few months back.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Rumors suggested LWB Tucson for India, but it was never mentioned on any of their official sites in the Euro / US spec.
Hyundai India's website mentions "Extended wheelbase for maximised leg room and knee room" : https://www.hyundai.com/in/en/find-a-car/tucson
Thus ruling out the 7 seat version.

I think grey interior would be on offer. The official pics seem to have grey interiors.

Probably the big touch screens and panels look cool in cars. But from a functional standpoint, the old school buttons and knobs are still the best.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

For some reason the photos of interiors look absolutely mediocre, not sure if it is the camera angle or just bad quality photos.

Looks great from outside, not that great from inside.

Missing stuff like Shift by wire, Paddle shifters, three zone AC control, wireless Android auto and carplay. This should ideally not be launched more then a lac rupee difference then the previous one, and 2 lac for the one with ADAS function.

If they do hit the 40 lac boundary, the Tiguan interiors look so much more classy.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

A car we've all waited for with bated breath. Here are my thoughts-
- Grey with black interiors are better than all-black on this car, although an option of beige would have been great too.
- The shift by wire system missing is surprising considering the test cars had it, but frankly some reviewers abroad did find it ergonomically weird, just like the touchscreen controls for HVAC.
- GREAT to see the new diesel with improved torque and top speed.
- Paddle shifters- are they really missing? If they are, then that's a big one!
- Heated seats not so useful in India, but maybe in certain chilly areas. Not a bad addition.
- Dual tone colours are a welcome choice.
- ADAS! Finally on a Hyundai!
- Would have loved a three-zone climate control, but alas!

I agree.

Also, the glossy touch panel below the screen, wouldnt that be very distracting? The photos show an almost mirror like finish with the image of the photographer.

On another note, pricing?
Also, does the XUV make a better value proposition?

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Shift by Wire itself would have given Tucson such a premium feel from inside and stand out from their other models. Creta uses same/similar gear knob I believe. They already are shipping these to Nepal so not sure why they have left this out . I do like Beige interiors since it makes car look roomier but agree on maintenance part. Looking at global options, some exterior colours will probably come with dark options.

Since the 1.6 Turbo Petrol is not given as option, the AWD/HTRAC would probably offered only with Diesel engine

Lets see when the official brochure is released. Any clarity on when pricing would be announced and deliveries begin?

The petrol engines are the same, but the diesel engine is different. The earlier Tucson diesel came with a R-II 2.0, but this one has the SmartStream 2.0 which is Hyundai's next generation of diesel engines. Hence the torque is up a little.

Agree, somehow the interiors look off. Missing WIRELESS Apple CarPlay / Android Auto are weird for a car in this segment in the year 2022!

Cant make out for sure, but it looks like they have reflector LED headlamps. The earlier generation had brilliant LED 5-element projector headlamps. This seems like a downgrade.

From the side, it looks under-tired.

Overall, seems like they have cut out a lot compared to the international versions to either launch at a lower price, or increase their margins .
