That is funny and sadly true!

Is there any chance that Toyota will have a CVT option? Toyota can and must consider this for all the borrowed models from Suzuki as they have gone the AMT way completely.

Do not give us hope buddy.

There is no chance that Toyota would do any technical addition to the car which would make it lucrative than the Suzuki.

Nevertheless, Galanza now looks much better than the Baleno.

2022 Toyota Glanza variant details out

Toyota is gearing up to launch the 2022 Glanza on March 15. Reports suggest that the car will be offered in four variants.

The new Glanza is based on the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It is likely to come in E, V, G and S trims. The base variant is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the remaining three variants will get a 5-speed AMT option.

The Glanza could get five exterior colour options, while the interior is likely to be finished in a dual-tone of black and beige. The car will come equipped with a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, 6 airbags and ESP.

The Glanza will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that powers the new Baleno. It produces 89 BHP and 113 Nm.

Under the hood, the new Glanza will be identical to the Baleno. That means it will be powered by the 90hp, 113Nm Dualjet, K12N petrol engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Glanza, however, will miss out on the mild-hybrid tech that was available on the previous model, as it isn't offered with the new Baleno either.

Your post suggests that Glanza/Baleno 2022 uses SHVS-Mild Hybrid system while they definitely do not. They use exhaust gas recirculation system with 2 sparkplugs per cylinder to increase the output and fuel economy.

Toyota has started accepting bookings for the 2022 Glanza in India. Customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs. 11,000.

Unlike the previous model, the new Glanza features a bespoke front fascia with a slim grille and a redesigned front bumper.

The car is expected to get a dual-tone interior equipped with a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, 6 airbags and ESP.

The Glanza uses the same 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine that powers the new Baleno. It produces 89 BHP and 113 Nm, while transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

I noticed that the headlights do not have the latest "Nexa DRLs", maybe they're using the headlights available in the lower variants of the Baleno.
