Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

What a mess! I don't believe nor understand this...
A delivery date of June 2023 for a INTRODUCTORY price booking in the first 25,000!

This means that mahindra needs 9 (NINE) months just to deliver the first 25,000 bookings?

I am eager to know if someone has any insights on this?

Happy to see that I would be getting the vehicle by Diwali, and seems this is the earliest delivery of Dazzling Silver colour (so far).

Ouch! That hurts. While most dates seen on the forum seem to align with what Mahindra had announced earlier, this appears to be a little too far. 9 months is too much for Introductory price vehicles. Seems like we have an XUV700 like situation where a few AWD bookings from last October are getting delivered now. You can try and ask this question to Mahindra Customer Care through email or Twitter. They seem to be responsive on Twitter.

Question: Was your booking done through a dealer or online?

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Not at all happy with this delivery date. I wanted the car by December.

Exactly. I had done the booking online at exactly 11:00:00. Apparently, a few milliseconds made all the difference amongst the 25,000 even. Nevertheless, NINE months is just insane and unbelievable.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

From what i have seen and understood as of now is that the Z8L variant has got absolute priority (already clarified by Mahindra) followed by some lower variants mostly with AT powertrain option but the second top variant Z8 has got an absolutely raw deal with deliveries stretching into 2023.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

A friend of mine made the booking in the first 25,000 lot and the account shows the delivery date from Feb28th to Mar30th 2023.

This seems absurd.

The variant booked is Z8 Petrol MT.

Agree - Logically one would have expected Z8 to follow Z8L.

Received a date range of 26th Feb-28th Mar 2023 for
Z8 D AT 4WD • Diesel • Automatic • DAZZLING SILVER

Now to wait patiently for the first ownership reviews / kinks / mods etc.

Yes, I had tried booking at sharp 11:00am on 30th July but booking did not go through and I completed the booking later that night.

Afterwards, 3days later got an email from Mahindra that I qualify for first 25000 booking.

Looking at the different delivery timelines, it appears Mahindra has used the following priority sequence:

Z8Ls > all other models > Z8s

Also, it appears automatics have a preference over the manual variants this time?

Yes, Petrol Automatics seem to be moving out fast.

On a unrelated note,

Has anyone observed the position of tow-hook?

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

I think after Z8L petrol ATs have been prioritised irrespective of the model?
