Car -: Maruti Zen (model before Estilo)
In city -: 14-15 kmpl (with A/C) . Lowest of 13 kmpl
In Highway -: 18-19 kmpl (with A/C)

The Zen was an amazing driver's car with a very good mileage. Dont know why they stopped the model and introduced the estilo!!!

RaajKS, please clarify!
Dude, math has never been one of my strengths , but this is what RaajKS said:
-----
Palio 1.6 -- Full tank to Empty
A/C on 40% of the time
39 Litres filled
8 litres remaining
Trip ODO has clocked 458
-----
So, he's used up 39 - 8 = 31 l... And that translates into FE figures of ~ 14.78 (458 / 31).

spindoc, Palio/ Petra 1.6 tank capacity is 47 Litres. 8 litres is the fuel already in the tank if one fills 39 litres, at least thats how I analyzed the data.

It is for raaj to clarify now. If it is really 14+ KMPL city, I am ready to take some lessons from him .

No need of apologies spin... its a discussion forum. I could be wrong unless I am right (I mean unless raaj says it is 31 litres).

My SX4 wagon gives 11.8kmpl average. The mileage meter shows so. I didn't do calculation. (odo 8200kms)

It was 10.8kmpls previously.

Btw, its 1.6, Petrol, 109bhp Auto VVTI

50% hiway between 110-170kmph speed with full of racing and 50% lady driving in the city.

(check my location!)

Indica V2 gives me 13-14 kmpl in city with the air-con switched on at all times, irrespective of the traffic conditions. If I use the revs however, it drops to about 12 but never below that.

On the highway I get 18-19.5 without the air-con switched on.

Should I be getting more in the city?

Another interesting event

Bangalore to Chennai, Distance 332
No of litres - 39
Fuel used - Shell (Normal)
Mileage - Reach chennai in half tank. The needle was still above the half tank.
A/C on - 80%

On return
Chennai to Bangalore, Distance 332
No of litres - 39
Fuel used - Shell (Normal)
Mileage - The meter was above half tank, when we reached BLR
A/C - 100%
I am getting an average of 18

I am pretty happy with the performance of FIAT
The temperature stayed at 25% through out the journey

At some good streches, I did 140
Maintained speed of 100 and did 120s pretty often

Indica v2 DLS, 55,000 Km Done
70% Aircon On.
R13/185/60 Michelin Tubeless Tyres

Gives me 13 kmpl in Bangalore city. Normally driven alone.

~17 ( 16.6 to 17.5) in the highways. No significant difference between Golden quadrilateral and old national highways. Normally driven around 90 - 110 kph in the highways with 2 people.
