The pic is indeed a photoshopped one. It is taken from Autocar's August issue, which is based on spy shots published in the same issue.

I thought spy shots are real shots taken by readers and submitted to Auto car, why should it be PS'd? It defeats the whole purpose unless ofcourse you mean sharpening and adjusting the contrast by PS. Am I missing something here ?

As mentioned that the pricing will be in the Logan & Dezire category, in that case I can smell the smell of sucess. For anyone who has owned or driven extensively would know all about the build quality of the Ikon !!

Kudos to a well priced product

Cheers

lets wait for the launch and pricing before we shower kudos on Ford. If they do price it as we all are expecting then surely Ford has a winner at their hands.

Tushky, the spy shot which you have, does it resemble the one posted here?

Gaurav, I really hope that comment about the Ford Ikon petrol holds good for the TDCi Ikon also, whenever that is launched.

There go in smoke, half my hopes of a likeable model. But still hoping that Tush & I have a valid disagreement on this ..

IMO... Ikon already is a very good car. It has a real sedan feel and drive quality. I am having one from last 3 and half years, very satisfied. I am also very happy about the facelift, at least they didn't get a hatch and added the boot to it, to call it a sedan. The adding boot stuff just adds to space not the driving or ride quality. See how thin the tires of swift are in compare to Flair.

The facelift also suggest that they will keep the model running for at least another 2 or 3 years, a diesel 1.4, ride quality of Ikon and everything at a good price. These reasons are enough to put the josh back in the Ikon.

P.S.: I don't understand why we write IMO. When dose one gives someone else’s opinion isn't is always our own opinion when we speak or write..

Don't argue with Tushky Condor, for all you know, he'll go snap-snap & soon we'll have a thread on TBHP containing spy shots of Condor's facelift!

I remember reading that iKon grew from a hatch! Even then, I agree the boot for the iKon completely gels while the dZire is way too odd - very ugly!

The post #135, would have put your mind at ease. The pricing as mentioned in the HINDU seems to confirm a good move on part of FORD INDIA.

Now can we say KUDOS to Ford for getting it right ?

Cheers
