I think it is around 95 paise. Only 3 outlets in BAngalore dispensing at discounted rates. May be its promotion of certain outlets that arent doing as much business as the rest of the outlets?

Not sure about the rate at discounted Shell bunks, however in other places difference is Rs: 2.84.

Cost at BP bunk on 16- AUG : Rs: 63.46 (BSIV)
Cost at Shell bunk on 08- AUG: Rs: 66.30 (BSIV)

On the same link, scroll down a bit, there is a mention of 64.45 at some pumps of Bangalore.

Banglore-MR1, MR2, Sankey 64.45 79.25 84.65

I noticed Mysore road Shell pump sporting posters of diesel price being 64.45 a litre. So MR1 and MR2 should be codes for Mysore Road 1 and Mysore Road 2

After a long gap, I filled up at Shell (Bellandur) yesterday for 77/L (Normal unleaded). I used to fill at IOC HSR mainly due to my IOC Citi card. One thing I noticed is the difference in quantity. Was expecting to fill around 30.5L, but it got cut off at 29.5L. Thought it was the different pump, but again, the fuel gauge needle is right up, no difference as in the case of IOC filling.

One thing I din't quite like was the attendant making a lot of push for the premium fuel.

For the first time, I tried Shell Super yesterday - filled in 30.83 litres @ ₹ 81.10 per litre at the Ambattur Shell outlet. I'll wait and watch to see if there are any short term benefits to using Shell Super (read as fuel efficiency). If not, I'll switch back to Shell Unleaded.

Unleaded was retailing @ ₹ 75.80 per litre at Shell yesterday.

The rate at the PSU pumps is ~ ₹ 73.47 per litre of unleaded petrol now. Shell Unleaded is worth every paisa of the ₹ 2.53 difference over the PSU fuel. Shell Super, I'm not so sure, yet.

If the PSU's are only loosing around Rs.1 per liter of Diesel, how is it that Shell is almost Rs.3 higher than the PSU diesel? Isn't shell supposed to be market driven price? What am I missing?

They do this every single time. And every single time, I refuse. Annoying part is, when they pitch in the first time, I give them a polite no (This is after I ask for Normal fuel). Then they start giving a lecture on how good the premium fuel is and this is when I have to change my tone. I usually fill at Bellandur Shell these days.
Next time if they pitch for premium Diesel, I plan to make them refer to my fiesta manual which says a no to fuel with additives. This is if they insist after my first refusal.

24/08 - Tanked up Shell Unleaded Petrol at the Shell pump near Wilson Garden, B'lore @ Rs.77

Shell is returning me a consistent mileage of ~16-17 km/l without AC, 100% City drive. Been using it since I bought the car. Ride is a 2011 Beat Petrol.

Filled up normal diesel, 66.75 per liter. Shell Bellandur. This was last week, when I left to KL for Onam.
Heard the prices are coming down for diesel. Will shell prices come down as well?

Shell diesel is at Rs.65.80. Less than Rs2 difference between shell and PSU diesel. I am strongly contemplating a switch.
